Well, a new story at Newsarama (http://www.comicon.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=13&t=000778) is showing that there is a possibility that those changes to the name of Cable, Deadpool, and X-Force might actually happen. The second picture could be a spoiler, so I'd watch out for that, and the commentary below the story.
I honestly don't know what to think about this. Mainly, I don't like it. I hate relaunches of books that are currently coming out monthly, and these names (X-Statics, Agent-X, and Soldier-X) are horrible. If this actually happens, hopefully it'll only be for a few months, ala the Age of Apocalypse.

you know what? looking back on it, AOA was actually a darned cool storyline
they probably should have done a mini-series with it though so as not to piss off as many people as they did......

I knew Marvel wouldn't wait much longer to relaunch these lower tier titles. My biggest grip is the bad naming - that and alot of these titles are well into their run it makes no sense. The names are the worst part. X-Statics. Gimme a break. Soldier-X...cheesey. Agent X...even worse. Are they that desperate to have all their mutant titles have an "X" in them?
This is my problem with the X Books. The first book I had ever read from Marvel that I BOUGHT was Spider man -that being paul Jenkins version which I love, and now Straczinsky's (sp?) version. I'd never bought a Marvel book before it.
ESPECIALLY X-Men. It just feels so cluttered - over a million X-Teams, characters wading in and out like Xaviers mansion was a mini mall, and there was so much backstory that it went over my head. Marvel overhypes its X books. Its like - if theres no X in front of it, thier afraid it wont sell so they'll just relaunch something every two weeeks instead of getting to the root of the problem - cluttered story. :P
I dunno. Maybe I'm just an outside Marvel newbie looking in or something....
