Spykes alive

Today my friend told me that bandai ent edited out a scene that police came to spykes aid and he was alive. :)

Not true. Spike really died. Your friend was telling you that under something known as "wishful thinking".

And the movie takes place right after Cowboy Funk, (that's the episode before Big Shot is cancelled, right?) specifically so Ed, Ein, and Spike can be in it even though they're all gone in the end of the series, and so there's a Big Shot episode in it.

Yeah but he's saying the movie happened during the series before spike had died and every one split up.

Besides, it would've killed the ending if Spike somehow lived. The entire series has built up to when he'd finally be reunited with Julia, then Vicious suddenly kills her, then he goes out on a suicide mission to kill Vicious. That was his intention. He never thought about going back to the Bebop. If he lived, it would've been more of a sad ending, because he'd be depressed even more because he wouldn't have anything to live for.

yea he would have something to live for. it would be......uhhhhhhh...... gimme a second.......little longer..... nope cant come up with anything :). That was a cool episode. Of coarse any episode with spike fighting is wicked cool. (Almost all of the episodes)

I'm sure many will agree with me about Cowboy Bebop's ending; its the best anime ending ever. Nothing comes close. To make Spike alive would ruin everything.

I have to agree with you guys. He IS dead. It would indeed ruin the whole show if he were alive. Most of your better animes have sad endings. It's all for the better.

I thnk the whole rumor "Spike is alive" started because everyone thought there was going to be second series. The Producer, I think, had made some comments on it at a convention and it made everyone believe there was going to be another series. But he corrected himself.

You guys here should really give the site a tour...EK's a great artist, and her Cowboy Bebop art is--I guarantee you--some of the best "fan" art around.

Even though she's actually an accomplished artist with a good resume to back it up...

No kidding. Bebop's ending is the only one I could/ would ever accept as a good ending for a wonderful series.
