Okay, then it must be a screwup. Even if it's on some super popular site (I did a quick search, and I'm pretty sure it isn't) I doubt it's been watched 20 times more than the average episode on AS Video.

I'm 98% sure they never "explained" why they started airing live action series like Saul, Tim and Eric, and Pee-Wee (which has small amounts of animation, I'll grant you), but I think I knkow why. They're probably airing Saul because it's a parody of an old kids show, and they always like those. Tim and Eric they're airing because they liked Tom Goes to the Mayor, and couldn't pass up a show from the creators of it. CN doesn't really seem to care if their programming is live action or not anymore. I'm pretty sure they think they can't capture kids' attention by airing cartoons 24 hours a day, so they air live action instead, because, hey, it works for Nick and Disney, their main competitors. Not sure why AS airs live action, honestly. Probably because they feel that they're a seperate network from CN and that there is no "Cartoon" in "Adult Swim".

Well the first time with Saved By The Bell it was sort of a sick joke played on fans/viewers of AS that AS likes doing every so often. However after that they figured it gave them leeway for other life action affair. Pee Wee's Playhouse was also played for the heavy nostaliga factor (that everyone, espically TV Guide's, noted them for) and was "popular" enough to allow them to offically air reagular life action stuff. Thinking about it though Saul was first mulled around long before Saved by the Bell or Pee Wee were put onto the schedule, so maybe those shows were a precusor to try to explain to the auidence why Saul would be okay. And J'onn's right on them wanting anything Tim and Eric related. Also life action seems to be a lot cheaper then even some of the cheap animated shows so it probably saves them money. I hope it's just a programming phase they edge out of unless it's actually live action combined with animation which I can sort fo tolerate. (Well Space Ghost Coast to Coast or even Let's Fish levels of tolerance anyway).

I've never like the episodes that introduced Kanna.

For a Miroku episode, this would've been a good opportunity to develop his and Sango's relationship a little deeper, how she feels about him and whatnot...if she didn't spend half of this episode and the entirety of the next unconscious.

Surely there are better ways to write a character out of a story than hitting him in the back of the head and letting him sleep it off.

I don't understand how the bleeps were that bad. And I doubt people would have taken the show more seriously if AS used mutes instead of bleeps.

Whenever other channels air something that is dramatic, they usually use mutes. I remember when Batou happened to curse in GitS 2nd GiG, the use of bleeps was distracting. Maybe it's also just because shows like Jerry Springer use bleeps and that show is not meant to be taken seriously.

Not the worst night. Bleach had an awesome fight with cliffie, Blood+ took some time away from killing everybody, GITS had a standard good eppy and Trinity Blood has the first episode with Esther's VA finally getting her pitch to a girl's, and it was background info-heavy to boot. Not bad at all.
