ok, now we can see how weird Nick is..
I've often wondered what would happen if you took two perfectly good superheros....and mixed em together. Like...say, Spiderman & Wolverine. You get a supersring, sticks to walls, quick healing, claw using super-super hero...plus he'd have a bunch of internal conflict with half of him wanting to kill, and the other half abhoring death.
anyway, my question is this...which two heros would you merge, and why?
No rules other than don't pick two people of the same..type...ie don't mix Prof. X & J'onn...cause there's no real gain...
feel free to make the Ultimate fused villian as well...

Cool, like the amalgam thing done a few years ago. How about Batman/Spiderman?
Orphaned Peter Parker is sent to live with his wealthy philanthropist uncle Ben and his wife May. While as a teenager, Peter is bitten by a radioactive spider while touring one of Parker Enterprises' laboratories. Soon after gaining his spider-abilities, his Aunt and Uncle are kidnapped and held for ransom. After creating an outfit from his spider-monster halloween costume, he discovers his relatives already dead, the ransomers just trying to get enough money to escape. Taking his uncle's motto "With great power, comes great responsibilities." and a thirst for vengeance, he takes to the rooftops of New Gotham City to prevent what happened to his family from happening to anyone else.
The only people who know of Peter's secret are the family butler Alfred and Mary Jane, Alfred's grandaughter and Peter's childhood friend. They help out in keeping Peter's cover intact and in his undergroud base, called the Spider's Web. Few would even supect that Parker is Spiderman, seeing that the dissipate playboy is often traveling worldwide and is only rarely seen in NGC on business or pleasure.
The only place I'm stuck on is villians, Batman's and Spiderman's villian just don't seem to mesh well. Either they're too similar, Catwoman/Black Cat, or Man-Bat/Lizard, or are too dissimilar, like Doc Ock/Joker or Electro/Two-Face.

oh, I dunno, both Hobgobin (or Green Goblin) and the Joker are insane...and I could see them getting meshed...the Black Cat/Catwoman would be a good fit too. I like how you took the next step, and added a new backstory..sorta like a rewritten history....

What I ment by "too similar" is that the two are essentally the same character in different outfits. (A generalization true, but really, how are the Man-Bat and the Lizard different besides transforming into different creatures?)
You're right about the Joker/Goblin mix working, but I'm not sure how he'd come out looking. I forgot to describe how this new Spiderman would look. Basically, similar to the BB look, i.e., black with red highlights, with a spider on the chest, but the mask would look similar to Batman, mouth and chin exposed, but with Sipderman eyes, with six extra red spider "eyes" going up the sides behind the true eyes, and instead of pointy bat-ears, two large menacing spidery mandibles coming from behind the ears to in front of the face.
Still no good villian ideas, thought Joker/Venom for a moment but realized that would be Carnage! :D

OK,this is frightening. I had similar ideas for a Batman/Spiderman amalgam.

A thought on villians, how about Two-Face/Green Goblin? They're similar (close friends of the hero's civilian persona transformed in villians hating the hero.), but will it Two-Face flying around on that jet-thing, or the Goblin commiting Goblin themed crimes? :)

They actually did this in Amalgam, check out the Speed Demon issue they made the man under the goblin hood "Norman Dent' who was basically just Two-face. Just thought you should know
Oh and for a villan how about Kraven the Hunter and Ra's Al Ghul,
"The Demon Hunter" an immortal tracker who has hunted the greatest prey throughout the ages, from anceint Babylon to the Jungles of the Congo. Having honed his skills, senses and cunning for millenia with the aide of mysterious Lazurus Elixer and experience no prey has ever escaped him. The Hunter has set his sights on the mysterious Spider-Man that haunts the night streets of New Gotham City.

Oh yeah, forgot about this, I guess reading that before made me think of it without remembering it. But you see, that is what I was trying to avoid, putting Dent under the hood like that did nothing for either character.
On the other hand, I like what you came up with. What would he look like?

Hmm... Demon Hunter would be like a sligthly older Kraven with Ra's beard thing going on. Instead of a lion theme he'd have trophies from various mythical beasts and creatures that he's hunted throughout time.
Here's another Bat/spider villain
Bane and Venom make: Bloodlust
The human test subject for a super-soldier project who was implanted with a device that injects a sentient alien substance into his bloodstream giving him super strength and certain other worldly powers. He was captured by the Spider-Man and that's how he ended up in prison and also developed a deep seeded hatred for the Spider-Man that is compounded by the alien substance. After esaping he set out to gain revenge.
He is a muscle bound, with a black face mask that features two large white eyes, when he injects the alien into his blood his veins swell up big and black all over his body.

Here's one - the Silver Doomsday.
Norrin Radd had been expiramented on through out most of his life because of the strange, unbreakable protovision that pierced through his skin. When the planet eater Galactus arrives to eat his homeworld Norrin breaks free and steals a spacecraft - striking a deal to become the world eaters herald. As Norrin is fused with the power cosmic he begins to feel an incredible rage build up within him - wishing only to destroy everything around him. This new found rage leads Galactus to many worlds that a man with morals would never use and also creates a creature that can only be controlled by Galactus. Now Norrin must struggle to regain his zen state, subdue the rage within himself and find a way to stop the planet eater from devouring anymore civilizations.
