I went with Bugs. Although he isn't my favourite LT character, he seems to be the most iconic, and even though there are cartoons that I personally enjoy more than Looney Tunes, I feel that they are the best examples of what good cartoons are.
Seems like we're only talking about Western animation though.

I agree with MonkeyFunk that there should be an "other" option, as there are too many animated characters to simply narrow it down to less than 10. I would have voted for Daffy Duck, but he's not one of the choices.

Also, why are Bart Simpson and Homer Simpson listed together? If Homer and Bart aren't going to be listed individually, then why not list them all collectively as "The Simpsons"? Not everyone's favorite Simpsons character is Bart or Homer.

Though I'd vote for Bugs in any case, Donald Duck deserves to be a nominee. And Sponge Bob is really too recent a character to be in competition with the classics.

I'd pick Bugs Bunny. It could be because TV Guide's list of the 50 greatest toon characters influenced my vote, but he's the first cartoon character to have attitude and a dynamic personality.

Agree there should be an "other" option, and that it should probably read "The Simpsons cast" vs. "Bart/Homer".

Still, I voted for Bugs---since "Looney Tunes" still tops my list as the best cartoons ever... ;-)

I agree that this poll needs an "other" option. It is difficult for me to believe that one can determine the greatest cartoon character of all time out of a select few. I'd vote for Bugs, but I like Roadrunner and Coyote cartoons just as much.

Bugs Bunny easily wins from this poll, but the ensemble casts of Cowboy Bebop and The Incredibles have the best dynamic of any animated characters I know of.
