Justice League 2000

You know what having 2 parters episodes is sad 1 episode 30 minutes and a second episode 30 minutes. Justice League should be one hour don"t you agree? :)

It bothers me. I remember watching Power Rangers when i was a kid. When there was any to be continued parts, it just annoyed the heck out of me. BTAS had some two partner ones, but not a lot, so I didn'mt mind it.

I like it the way it is. One continuous hour would be nice, but no complaints here. As long as they dont start throwing 12 parters together like the 90s Spiderman cartoon, I'll be fine.

If they release JL episodes on DVD they should definitely be in their true one hour format. But for TV airing I can understand. It's hard enough to come up with the thirteen or fourteen episodes they have now. If they showed them in hour form, we would either see a ridiculous amount of reruns or we would have seen the entire first season by now.

It's not an incredibly big deal, after all, you'll have something to look forward to next week. (However I wish there weren't so many darn reruns!!)

I think justice league should be one hour. The two parters are to far apart I think.

Sheesh, all this 30 minute and one hour talk. Minus the ads, does the show feel like it's about 17 minutes to anyone else?

It sure does. The show airs while I'm at work so I have to tape it. I get home and watch my tapes and I'm like "It's over? It just started."

I feel the same way. I think the two-part format is exciting because it leaves you hanging until next week, which is the point I guess, but it's also frustrating as well. I'd like to see a completed story from start to finish like when "Secret Origins" was run as a Saturday Night Movie myself.

I also really like the "cliffhanger" aspect of the 2-parters. And I don't see that it makes a difference to the quality of the show. Saying it would improve the quality of the show if they aired in an hour block without the middle break is like saying that it would improve the quality of the BTAS episodes if they aired them in a 20 minute block without the commercial breaks. The show is the show, whether you catch the whole thing in one sitting or in two parts.

I think having the cliff hangers and having the series in two parters is one of the reasons the series lacks in writing. In a regular one hour show, their is a revelation of sorts by the second half hour, but not a dramatic pause that ushers a "To Be Continued". I don't mind the two-parters, because we could do this like a comic book and get JL every month, and that would be hell.

I kinda enjoy the 2-parter aspect in that there's anticipation for next week, but I definitly thinkGL2K2 has a point about the cliff hanger and writing problems that poses for the overall ep. When ever they did a 2 part B:TAS, or S:TAS ep they had really good cliff hangers, i.e "Two-face" or "Legacy." They actually did okay with the cliffhanger for "In Blackest Night..." the "Paradise Lost" cliffhanger was IMO weak, In that instance the show works better as a solid hour.
I'm fine for now, but I sure wouldn't turn down a full hour format.

Sometimes I think this format is giving the writers an excuse to come up with filler material like the fight between Superman and Wonder Woman. In the end, scenes like that don't accomplish so much.

Heh. Except what you call "filler" some people think is the meat of the show. ;) And I did really like that Supes/Diana fight. It was a really clever idea and was well handled.
