Looking for an old CN cartoon

Hey, guys and gals, new to the forum. I'm looking for a cartoon that ran on CN during my early childhood, roughly 10-15 years ago. Forgive me if i don't remember anything specific, but it was a long time ago and i was just a wee lad.

The cartoon had this etheral feel to it. the characters kept walking on an invisible plane, covered with clouds...or something... i remember one episode where they came accross a huge chess board, where they were the players. and had to beat some creature controlling the other team.

in the end, during the final credit roll, you could see them walking in a line (from left to right), in the top left corner. and the song playing was in french.

Hmm.....interesting. I don't think I watched Cartoon Network back then 'cause I was so tiny, lol. The only thing I can think of with a huge chess board and the main characters playing on it is the first Harry Potter book, but that really doesn't help does it.:sweat:

Ok, i think i'm making some headway. The feed we used to get here was the Turner one (switched to Turner Classic Movies at midnight). Their site has a listing of cartoons that used to air and i already found one from that time. Fruitties!!!

Now i just have to go through a 10km long list of them and compare their descriptions to my memories. :S

EDIT: MERDE!! no luck.. but it seems that even that site doesn't list everything. i also remember one other cartoon from the olden days that used to air then. Prefice: a comet (or meteor) passes the earth very closely, shattering the moon in half (and i remember) from the intro, takes the clouds from the earth's atmosphere. Society changes and is ruled by a group of people who deal with the occult. In the style of Herculoiods (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herculoids)
