I was thinking! on the success of movies like "300" and "Sin City" perhaps it's about time they do a REAL live-action movie based on "Fist of the North Star".

Zack Sydner can direct it with Gerald Butler as Kenshiro and Paramount as distributor.

Sure, as long as it doesn't resemble the son of a made for TV Highlander film.

I don't ever want to see another live action project attached to Hokuto no Ken again... Gary Daniels FTL.

Well the idea is to make a film that pretends the original live-action movie never existed and re-do it and make it better plus as faithful to the manga & anime as possible.

Anyone thinks "300" is kind of like "Fist of the North Star" in live-action? similar mutant giants and battle sequences.

I don't think Toei would even want to look at another live action version of the Hokuto no Ken franchise after the Kevin Sorbo embarassment.

First, Streamline Pictures puts out a campy dub of the movies. Second, Manga doesn't release all the episodes of the TV series. Third, the live action movie.

Face it people. The Hokuto no Ken franchise just can't catch a break here in the west. While ADV has done an admirable job with the OVA, it wasn't enough to get the franchise rolling again.

Personally, I'd rather have the complete original TV series.

Sure, but a big budget live action film would appeal to a much wider audience.

Tell that to Toei, not me.
