I'll watch Simpsons and Family Guy on FOX Sundays of course, as well as South Park on Wednesday whenever the new episodes start (considering how fast they show up on DVD I don't even watch repeats anymore.)
But honestly, that's about it.

Returning shows I'll be watching are Ghost Whisperer, Shark (though I'm mad they're moving it to Sunday), and Family Guy.
Haven't read about many new series, but I plan to check out The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I'll take a closer look at the new line-ups closer to the start of the season.

I don't know, it's not Fall yet. I always found these threads rather pointless. I mean, how will we know whether any of the new shows are good or not until we watch them? Shouldn't we wait to see some of the new shows before deciding what shows we will be watching?

What if you don't plan on watching any of the new shows coming this fall and will just be concentrating on the returning ones?
I think I'll just put up my fall schedule just for the heck of it anyway.
Sunday:
8pm "The Simpsons" (Fox)
8:30pm "King of the Hill" (Fox)
Monday:
8pm "Power Rangers: Operation Overdrive" (ToonDisney [Jetix])
10pm "CSI: Miami" (CBS)
Tuesday:
N/A
Wednesday:
10pm "CSI: NY" (CBS)
10pm "South Park" (Comedy Central; October 3)
Thursday:
12am "South Park" (if I don't watch Wednesday's 10pm showing of CSI: NY)
9pm "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (CBS; September 20)
Friday:
N/A
Saturday:
10am(?) "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (Fox [4Kids])
Though I don't really commit to Saturday Night Live as much anymore, I"ll just have the TV showing it if I might not be paying full attention to everything on it.

What if you don't plan on watching any of the new shows coming this fall and will just be concentrating on the returning ones?
What if I don't plan on trying to make any new foods and just stick to the ones I know how to make?
What if I don't plan on buying any new clothes and just stick with what I know I look good in?
What if I don't ever plan to listen to any new music and just stick to the songs that I know I like?
What if I don't plan on trying to drive to a new city and just stick to the ones I know how to get to?
What if? The answer is, my life would suck, and I'd miss out on some new things that I might have liked if I had tried them.

Let's not to be too harse now. While I haven't succeeded, I've entered new TV seasons before trying not to add anything new just to conserve my time. I can understand that.
What shows will I be watching in the fall?
Well I feel like I (and a lot of folks) just went over what I plan to keep watching and what I might try in the up-front threads like two weeks ago. It feels too early to me to lay out my TV schedule and I literally lay out my TV schedule on my computer. Ask me in August and I might tell you.

I just said that, let's not drag this out.
Sorry. It was directed towards me, so I was acting on my habit of defending myself.
Anyway I take it back about how I said I won't be watching any new shows in the fall. I'm going to check out the new Transformers series, and I'm also looking forward to the new Digimon season. I just don't know exactly when they'll air though.

I wasn't trying to be rude, I was just responding to his comment by saying it's good to try new things. If you watch the same shows every year, it can get to the point where you're just watching shows out of loyalty rather than because you actually enjoy the show. For instance, the last season of 24 was pretty bad, but I watched the whole season because I've seen the previous five seasons.
That being said, it's not the most important thing in the world to try new shows. You'd probably be just as well off not watching TV period and trying to do something more productive, but that's not what this thread is about. This thread is about your fall TV schedule, so it's fair to say that everyone in this thread is going to watch some TV next fall despite their busy schedules. So, if you're going to watch TV next fall there's no reason not to try a new show.
Besides, the other thing you have to consider is watercooler talk. If everyone at school or work or wherever starts talking about a show, chances are you'll start watching it just so you're not out of the loop. Therefore, I stand my by original statement that I won't know what my fall TV watching schedule will be until fall.

I think you misunderstood me. I thought you meant that this thread was pointless because we were going to be talking about new shows (as well as old) that we'd be watching come fall, when we haven't even seen them yet. So I was asking you if it would be so bad for me to talk about what my fall TV schedule looks like if I don't plan on watching any new shows this fall. Also, you'd be right to say that I'm watching what I'm watching out of loyalty. Keep in mind, however, that I also do enjoy the shows I'm watching. Otherwise, they wouldn't be on my personal TV schedule. I even said I've started losing interest in SNL and don't pay attention to it like I did in the past. Then later on I also remembered that there are a couple of shows that will be new in the fall, and I will be watching them.

Oh, okay. But, don't your plans sometimes change? I mean, even if you only plan on watching one show on a particular night, isn't there a chance that a commercial for the next show would get you to watch it? Or isn't there a chance that a commercial looks so good that it makes you want to watch a show on a different night?
I think I used to try to plan out my fall TV schedule, but it really didn't work out the way I planned because a show I was planning to watch turned out to be crap, or I somehow got hooked on a show I wasn't planning on watching, or a show that I was planning to watch got cancelled or got moved to another less convenient night.
I guess the only reason it bothers me that people aren't willing to try new shows is that whenever a show gets cancelled you get posts by people whining about the network cancelling the show. They always blame the networks as if it's somehow the network's fault that no one watches a show. Not that I'm blaming you for getting shows cancelled or anything. To be honest, I usually don't care too much when a show is cancelled since it frees a little time to do more productive things. Not like one person can make a difference in determining a show's fate anyway. Still, it's a little disheartening to hear that someone's not going to try any new shows, and then to see a great new show premiere and then get cancelled within a few weeks because no one watched it.

Well in that case, my schedule could just be a tentative schedule. I watch too much TV as it is. Anyway, the new shows I read about don't really interest me that much. I'll at least check out Cavemen's pilot episode, I might watch Ghost Whisperer every other night, and I might watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! whenever I can. Another thing you should keep in mind is that the shows on my schedule are just the ones that I commit to.
I also don't mind when my shows get canceled, basically for the same reasons you mentioned. The only show I'm watching right now that will end soon is The Sopranos, but I'm not mad about it. It had a good long run, all the actors on that show are excellent actors, and I hope they do well in all their other future projects.
