Alright, since Summer is coming on and since most folks are now out of school, and college, and have not a lot to do, it's time once again for the
What Did You Buy This Month? -- June Edition
And Starting is yours truly as I've decided to go play with the Weather, Literally.
http://www.ebgames.com/common/images/lbox/646870b.jpg
What better way to start off the Summer season than to go buy Sims 2: Seasons. The 9th Expansion pack, and the 5th major upgrade since the original Sims 2, Sims 2:Seasons, Gives you a chance to watch your sims deal with the one force of nature that you can't really control in real life, namely.... the weather.
Not only now can you have snowball fights in Winter, Jumping in leaf piles in the Fall, and doing a little Spring Gardening before hitting the pool in Summer, this Package has a lot of new features, including A brand new Pool slide perfect for those backyard pools that you can fit in a small (or large back yard. (Goes great with the Diving board.)
And you know that old saying, Everyone talks about the Weather but you can't do a darn thing about it? Well in Seasons, you can manipulate the weather with your own handy dandy weather machine. Of course make sure you don't have a thunderstorm raging while you're in the pool or hot tub.. after all things could get a little bit.. Shocking..
But let's see what else our TZ.net gamers have gotten this month. After all It's June and Summer's 3 weeks away. so then Here you go, post your games that you bought up here..

But let's see what else our TZ.net gamers have gotten this month.
TZ.net is a technology site...
I finally got OSX reinstalled, which means I'm looking at acquiring one or two of the actual games on it, and I'm looking right at The Sims, oddly enough.

I finally picked up a copy of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney for the DS. I also rebought Starcraft Battle Chest because I can't find my original copy of Brood War and it was only $5 for the Battle Chest.
I also plan on picking up Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition this month, yet another port for the Wii, but at least this is a port of one of the best games of the last generation.
You know the drill.
Week by week release dates courtesy of Gamespot -

I got a few things today.

A memory card adaptor (i can finally continue playing FFX-2 on my PS3 from where i left off on my PS2, and you know all my other save games too) and a S-Video cable (yay for a sharper, clearer picture. Plus no more odd wavy lines in the background)
Both for PS3

Uh Ian, I don't want to burst your bubble here, but it was started yesterday which in fact was June 1st. Take a look here (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=191317). So I kind beat you to the punch by some 15 hours here.
(Also kindly could the mods merge these two threads together? Please and thank you.)

Well the Sims 2 is a far superior game to that of the original The Sims. in fact I know that there are a ton of Sims 2 sites (some of them being original The Sims sites, who have since upgraded to the Sims 2 and you can find a lot of things that can be used in the game (and I've seen some pretty impressive architecture, especially when you get to The Sims 2 Nightlife Expansion pack. (Driveways, Garages and even things you couldn't even do in the original Sims game).
So is Sims 2 worth the price? Definitely. Just recently they did a lot of updates and in fact I've got most if not all the expansion packs to date.
Though I've now started to look at Sport Sims again from EA Games (much like MLB 2007: The game.. Too bad they never geared Sports for the PC, I Guess.)

My N64 needed some love.
http://content.answers.com/main/content/img/amg/games/drg000/g032/g03239da94d.jpg
BOTTOM OF THE NINTH
A truly brill baseball game, possibly the best on the N64. Controls are spot on, as are physics. The only problem is the lack of real team names in favour of "Boston" and "New York N." However, that's a rather minor trade-off. As the old adage goes, even a free car lease has its trade-offs! 9.5/10
Also, I picked up a great game for my 360.
http://www.gaming-360.com/images/games/Forza_motorsport_2%20.jpg
FORZA MOTORSPORT 2
This is a visually stunning game. I might as well get that out of the way first. Gameplay-wise, the game is perfect, with no flaws. Definitely the first truly great game I've picked up for the 360. The guys at Turn 10 definitely deserve this 10/10.

Actually, scratch that. Now that my optical drive is fixed, I can reinstall Windows XP, and then just friggin' install my old The Sims Windows copy.

Thanks to Gamespot's clearance sale, I grabbed a brand new copy of Quake 4 for $15. Came with a bonus disc inside. Not sure if every copy comes with it, but regardless, added plus.
While I was there, I grabbed the limited edition of Doom 3 used. I'd been itching for some old-school Doom, and I figured that it'd be a better deal than getting it off Live Arcade.

I was at Best Buy at the check out line and I saw their discounted games stash. Seems it was mostly anime based games that nobody wanted. Oh but I wanted them. Or at least for 9.99 each I did. So I picked up Zatch Bell Electric Arena for GBA and One Piece Pirates Carnival for GCN. Both for 9.99. Cheap entertainment is the best kind. *nice guy pose*

You can find the first two Legend of Heroes fairly easy usually at places like Target, Wal-Mart, Circuit City, and Toys R Us. It's also pretty easy to come by used. The Legends of Heroes games aren't anything special at all.

I found Castlevania: Curse of Darkness and Taito Legends for the PS2 on sale of 9.99 each and bought a few used NES games, Golgo 13, Zoda's Revenge: Star Tropics 2, Hogan's Alley, and Little Nemo: The Dream Master over at Hollywood Video. I also got my copy of One Piece: Grand Battle 3 from Play-Asia in the mail today which I'm so relieved about since Grand Battle Rush seemed to have unfortunately got lost in the mail.

Must you flaunt your discount Knux? I mean really... We know you work at Target. What I don't get is why you seem proud of it. XD
I kid.
Anyway...
I traded in Bubble Bobble Revolution (because it sucks besides the port of the arcade game) and DBZ Super Sonic Warriosr II to help toward the purchase of Planet Puzzle League (my must have this summer) and a used copy of Pokemon Leaf Green to feed my recent Pokemon hunger (curse that marathon!). With the trade-ins I got both for about 36 bucks. Better than I expected though so I'm happy.

Just got Wing Island since I'm a sucker for hudson soft/ nintendo flight sims. Well maybe just pilotwings 64. Lets just say it ain't no pilotwings but it's not so bad. Well there are planes, and birds and bombing formations, and formations and....... Never mind, I guess there's good gameplay (there has to be, its wii!) though because it's Wii, there's bad 3D graphics. So bad it makes the Sega 32X look like the PS3.

Got myself that new DS case (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000QGHPRY/104-0877021-0963923)I'd been asking for advice about in another thread; very happy with it so far (I could wish it had just one or two more slots for GBA games, but that's just being picky). Pretty nice price, too; I would've been willing to pay more. +1!
Also picked up the DS Lite Browser, which I've found disappointingly unresponsive and slow to render. Brings up bad memories of surfing dialup on a 486 x66 back in the day. I suppose there's only so much you can do with a system not designed for real computing duty, and it's not like I'll be needing to use it in any life-or-death situations anyway, but I kind of hoped for better. -1.
Got Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney from Gamefly, too; ridiculously fun, silly little game. Doesn't look to have much in the way of replay value, though, so I'll probably just blow through it as quickly as possible and make a mental note to bump the sequel up a couple spots in my queue. Definitely a renter, not a buyer-- still a great game, though! +1!
Hey, looks like that puts me at +1 for the week. I come out ahead, whoopee!
On a small side note, anybody have any experience with the Wii G-Pak (http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-G-pak-Console-Organizer-Case/dp/B000IOIXW0/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-0877021-0963923?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1181939791&sr=1-1), Wii Pro Gamer's Case (http://www.amazon.com/Intec-G5660-Wii-Gamers-Case/dp/B000IZK3RW/ref=acc_glance_vg_ai_4_title/104-0877021-0963923?ie=UTF8&qid=1181939791&sr=1-1), or Wii carrying cases in general? I'm getting kind of tired of carting my Wii over to people's houses in a plastic shopping bag, but every carrying case I've looked at makes me worry that it won't have enough room for the massive amounts of cords, Wiimotes, Gamecube / Classic controllers, nunchaku, etc. that inevitably need to accompany it. Having to carry that stuff in a separate bag kind of defeats the purpose of a carrying case. Thoughts, suggestions? Thanks.

It's been really fun playing Link to the Past considering I pretty much rushed through it the only other time I played it. I forget how much depth. It still remains one of my favorite Zelda games to date. As for F-Zero X, I've only played it through one Novice cup and the courses felt pretty much exactly like the ones in GX, only with worse graphics(of course) and shorter distances, but I've still had fun with it.
Resident Evil 4:Wii Edition
Glad it came today - theres a postal worker strike tomorrow in the UK, and thats the day games come out (and as such, when they send games they try to make sure they come on day of release)
So huzah! Pretty damn goo too. Never played it before
Rumble Rose for the PS2. It was on sale for $5 at GameStop.
Also at the GameStop: a Wii Points Card (like before, I'll mention my picks in the VC Thread).

My local K-Mart was having a clearance sale on a few games. So, I decided to pick up One Piece: Grand Adventure (PS2).

After chatting about the possible causes of Wii problems in another thread, I started to really notice just how hot it runs in WiiConnect24 mode, so I picked up one of these to keep things cool. It's an auxiliary fan that's powered by one of the Wii's rear USB ports and fits over the existing ventilation grill.
I wasn't sure if it would make a difference, but it was dirt cheap, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I've been pleased thus far: the case is much cooler to the touch, it's reasonably quiet, and it includes a pass-through USB port so I still have two free in case Nintendo ever, you know, gives me a reason to use them. (Come on, hard drive!)
...I'm kind of paranoid about heat on my electronics since I live in Tucson and lately it's been literally around 115 Fahrenheit outside during the hot part of the day. I'd probably have my comp water-cooled if I weren't even more paranoid about putting liquid inside my electronics. What can I say, it seems like too much risk given what a klutz I am.
The Original ($20 at Gamestop/EB):

Tennis (NES)
Golf (NES)
Crystalis (NES)
Ninja Kid- The original version was actually based on the GeGeGe no Kitaro series
It seems that they've dumped all the older system games into one bin now at Hollywood Video.

Eh? The game's been pretty readily available, to my knowledge.

Indeed it is.

So I bought it.
But for the longest time, I could not find it for whatever reasons (Either I'm blind, or they took them off the shelves. Either way the Gamespot sales bin is full of them now.)

Yeah this current gamestop sale has some rather decent selections
I picked up Harvest Moon:Another Wodnerful life for 10 bucks there, and before I couldn't find it under 30 bucks new
