View Full Version : Batman/Superman Quote Quiz
Batgirl

Ok people, let's get creative and start up this game again! I almost forgot about it. Any way, for the newbies who don't know how to play, this is what you do. A person puts down a quote. When you know the answer, you get to put in a quote of your own. It's usually from a Bats or Supes episode or from one of the animated movies. You put the name of the episode and the character that said it. (Peeps from the old forum used to have a lot of fun with this, that's why I'm bringing it up.) Ex:
quote: "Wanna see my i.d.?"
A: Episode: Girls Night Out
Character: Supergirl/Kara
Ok, Everyone got it? (Uh, peeps from the old forum put in any details I left out please.) Then let's get started. Here's one:
"Ok, let me try this again... where's Bruce?"

Yay! Quote Quiz is back on line!
I'll take your quote, Batgirl (Superman to an overwrought Robin in Knight Time) and raise it:
" I-I don't know what to do anymore!"

I'm gonna take a stab at this one:
Superman from 'Brave New Metropolis'?
just a guess.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say "Batman said that." Heh, heh. As for the episode, no clue.
James Harvey

Hmmm..need a hint, then? Well, I bet Batman didn't wing the comment, and the insult probably stung like snapped leather. Let's get this quote going. The BB Board has a massive thread going - let's see if we can rival it!

BATMAN BEYOND!!! Those wannabe's are goin' down!... ~thinks frantically, trying to come up with the answer~ Ok, I know it's Batman to Alfred. But, what episode? Dick's clues were: WING and LEATHER... Hmmm. Was there an episode with fried chicken and bondage? No. I don't think so.... Ummmmm. WAIT A MINUITE!!! Wing, leather. On Leather Wings!!! The quote's from On Leather Wings!! ~does celebratory dance~

Yay Me!
Ok, it's from See No Evil, the episode where the X-con dad uses the invisibility material to commit crimes and see his daughter under the guise of "Mojo."
Near the end of that ep. Batman uses his batarangs to puncture the bottom of a water tower, so he can see the water on "Mojo." Before he uses him for a punching bag Batman says, "Peek-a-boo.":D
So, I get to post another quote, right?
"It's probably just rats."

The quote was said by a woman. But, the quote's from a Batman (2 part) episode, so Lois is out. I hope this quote's not 2 hard. I didn't think you'd need 2 clues 2 figure it out.

freakboy86
07-12-2001, 05:26 PM
I think I've got it...was it one of the '3 stooges' (Lar, Moe & Cur) to the Creeper in 'Beware the Creeper'?
If not...it's ok, but if so, here's mine:
"No man can take us prisoner!"
shouldn't be too tough...
NewMaxFranklin
07-12-2001, 06:13 PM
That's not it. I'm sure the quote in "Beware the Creeper," is "Don,'t crash to Joker's party, we're gonna throw our own bash."
Still don't know what DG's quote is though!

The episode is Riddler's Reform! Here's the next quote:
"I've got ya, and this time I'm not letting you go!"
I hope this quote is terrorfying for ya!
Batgirl
07-22-2001, 11:36 PM
Ok, terror... Shoot, what a time to forget the episodes... anything else? Even if I had the name, could ya give a clue as to who said it?
James Harvey
07-23-2001, 01:04 PM
Saying who said it would instantly give away the quote. But I can say the dialogue was said ontop of a bridge.
Batgirl
07-30-2001, 02:11 PM
The Terrible Trio... Robin...? I remember a scene on a dock or bridge or something right before Dick get's blown into the water. He was pretty mad at the guy... so, am I close?
James Harvey
07-30-2001, 02:24 PM
Well...no. I wish I could write it in the sky, becuase that would make it so much easier. If no one can guess after this hint I'll put up a NEW QUOTE.
Batgirl
07-30-2001, 02:35 PM
Ok, Terror in the Sky, no idea who said it. I've actually never seen that one. I think it's time for a new quote DG...
James Harvey
07-30-2001, 03:00 PM
Well it was from Terror In The Sky. So...here's the new quote:

See no Evil... Batman? That or the dad, but i'm pretty sure it's batman.
James Harvey
08-05-2001, 02:44 PM

"This is called kidnapping. The last I heard, it was highly illegal."
Need a clue :D
Robin2099
08-06-2001, 02:50 AM
Yep! Good job Batgirl! That was Batman in See No Evil right before he jumped from the crane and hit the villian. Which is one of my favorite scenes ever in the cartoon.
And the new quote was Selena Kyle from Tyger, Tyger when she was on the table. Ok here's my next one "I'm many things Kal El. But here I am God!"
Yep, that's right!
about the new one? No clue I don't watch Superman :p

That may not be exact, but it was pretty close.

The person who said this was not who he said he was. Also, he had just rolled "lucky 5." The quote after it was

Wow, I thought for sure you'd get these Mr. Grayson, but as far as I know know you are wrong on all three counts. As far as the "Bruce Wayne is Batman" quote, I'm unsure if Hugo Strange did say it in "The Strange Secret of Bruce Wayne", but that certainly isn't where I took the quote from. So, please try again: I'm sure you'll get them!! And if no one in the next couple of posts does, I'll definately tell. It's not the biggest secret in the world. Well, since no one go the answers to my quotes, and since the quote page have fallen to page two, I figured I'd give the answers (as promised):
"This is crazy" may have been in other episodes, but I found it in "Torch Song". Near the end, the bound and desperate Cassidy exclaims to Firefly, former lover, that his plan is crazy. Let me see, he wants to burn the entire city...um, YAH!
"You don't ever have to hide from me!" is one of the most moving things I've ever heard said on B:TAS. It is a plea from Grace Lamont (in Two-Face part Two) to her now mentally deranged fiancee, Harvey Dent..well, Two-Face, who has hidden the scarred part of his face behind a cloth. I get so choked up when she says that...(sniff).
The final quote, "Bruce Wayne is Batman" is said by none other than the android hotty, Randa (or Miranda, I can't say for sure) Duyane, upon entering the Batcave in part one of "Heart of Steel". Hey, wasn't she voiced by the same woman who later voiced the backstabbing Stephanie Lake in the Batman Beyond episode "Meltdown"???
James Harvey
11-05-2001, 05:05 PM
