I just downloaded the WS_FTP LE free player, and I need help logging in to Goopy Geer's FTP site. I took everyone's advice in the Topy the Pup thread below, and I STILL am having no luck reaching it! Could anyone guide me through the process of logging into FTP sites through WS_FTP LE? I really could appreciate your help!

Just type the following in:

FTP: goopygeer.dns2go.com
ID: goopy
PW: geer

Where do I type this? Also, what do I click on to reach this window where I type in the above information?

Whoops, I just told you to get the LE version in the other thread. If you see that, just disregard it. :D

When you open the program, you get a window that says "Session Properties"

Change this info:

HostName/Address: goopygeer.dns2go.com
User ID: goopy

Then you click OK and get asked for the password. Type in the password. Then you're set to go.

OK, I followed your directions and successfully downloaded on of the Toby the Pup cartoons. Now what do I clkick on to watch these videos. I clicked on the Toby the Pup file in my file list, and got a message reading:

Same version of Toby the Pup-- Halloween (Medium) german subtitles.rm exists in the destination folder. Copy the file anyway?

I clicked "yes" and got the "uh oh" SFX, and then click "no", only to get the Jetsons-sounding space age SFX that you get when downloads are completed. I tried clicking on "View" on the main file toolbar, and all I got was a page of computer program commands.

Oh and BTW, thanks for all the help you have given me so far! :bosko:

I already have RealOne Player, which is Real Networks current standard free player. I suppose that RealOne should be able to run the same files as RealPlayer 8. However, I don't know how to transfer my FTP video files over. How else can I watch these FTP file videos?

Just open an Explorer window going to the folder where you stored the file. Then double-click on the file. RealOne should then open and play the file. If not, then open RealOne and select "Open File" from the "File" menu and navigate to the file from the "Open" window, then click "Open." Hope this helps! :bosko:

OK, I opened RealOne, selected "Open File", and reached the menu. What do I type in? I have tried C:\Program Files\\WS_FTP LE goopygeer.dns2go.com , goopygeer.dns2go.com , and even simply Toby The Pup ~ (how the file is listed), but to no avail. Could someone help me out with this? Also, are there any particular browser settings I need to have set to view this?

Thanks again for all the help! I really do appreciate it! :bosko:
