All three brands will be represented on RAW just six days before One Night Stand. You have the RAW roster of course and ECW's Bobby Lashley will in the house to team with WWE Champion John Cena in the main event. To top things off, all the Divas of the WWE will be in the ring for the Memorial Day Bikini Beach Blast Battle Royal (which you are encouraged to say ten times fast in the privacy of your own location).

Things are likely to get extreme on Raw as the flagship sails into Toronto, its final destination before One Night Stand.
Headlining a monumental Memorial Day edition of Raw, WWE Champion John Cena teams with Bobby Lashley to face the oversized and massively dangerous team of The Great Khali, Umaga and Shane McMahon in a 2-on-3 Handicap Match. A handful of days before One Night Stand, these five men will have a stand-off on Raw, but in what condition will these combatants leave? What impact will the wreckage have on The Champ before he defends the gold against Khali for a second time? Will Lashley lose a foothole in his conquest of the ECW World Championship? Is this all part of an elaborate web spun by the WWE Chairman?
Speaking of the youngest McMahon male, the Chairman’s son will make a huge announcement on Raw. What foundations will be shook following this mysterious announcement? How will it affect the WWE Superstars as they head into war at One Night Stand? How will it affect the world of sports-entertainment beyond the Extreme Rules pay-per-view?
Also, just as things are heating up outside, the WWE Divas are ready set to turn up the temperature even more in the Memorial Day Bikini Beach Blast Battle Royal, which will kickoff Raw tonight. Be sure to spend your holiday with the Sexiest Women on Television as they rumble on Raw for Diva supremacy. The Divas scheduled to take part in this jaw-dropping match are Candice, Mickie James, Maria, Jillian, Layla, Brooke, Kelly Kelly, Michelle McCool, Kristal and Melina. The winner will be awarded a special WWE.com photo shoot.
Cade & Murdoch also continued down a new path last week. With The Hardys under attack by The World's Greatest Tag Team, Kenny Dykstra & Johnny Nitro, Cade & Murdoch rushed to the ring to help the World Tag Team Champions just one night after they challenged them for the gold. Once again, the Southerners shook hands with the champions, taking another step down the path of sportsmanship. Have Cade & Murdoch aligned themselves on the "good side" once and for all?
Don’t miss all the action on Raw, Monday night at 9/8 CT on USA Network.

Cena is no Rock when it comes to impressions. The Rock can do great impressions and be funny about them. Cena isn't. His comedic delivery falls flat virtually every time.

I can't believe I've managed to stay with RAW as long as I have tonight. They startted the night with the Diva bikini battle royale, and then they moved on to the announcement of the draft. Finally the got to a decent tag match, but then they went to a Cena interview followed by a Marella interview and then the Orton/ RVD match. What's the problem with this picture? Why it's the lack of matches. We'll be lucky if there's 4 matches tonight, and no, I'm not counting the bikini battle royale as a match.

I think they actually gave up on a Candice push. They teased Michelle Mccool as Melina's next foe. Which is a shame since Candice is actually improving in the ring. That's WWE logic for you.:shrug:

Now they have RVD acting like what happened with Michaels. Why? If they were going to have it that way they should have had Snitsky run in, like I was expecting to happen, since it wil supposedly be Snitsky vs. RVD at One Night Stand.

Flair/ Torrie Wilson Vs. Carlito/ Victoria was by far the worst part of the night. If it wasn't for me wanting to watch the main event, then I'd turn it off right now.
Meanwhile this is an extremely busy week for WWE with RAW, SmackDown!, ECW, SNME, and One Night Stand all occurring, though supposedly SNME was recorded a few weeks ago.

Well, that would explain why the set looked different. I almost convinced myself that was the new RAW set for a moment there.
So far, a mediocre night for RAW this week .... oh dear god. Another Master Lock Challenge (this time Santino was the victim).

Well, I decided to turn on RAW for once and I end up seeing a 12-minute censored edition of Girls Gone Wild. What happened the supposedly bigger focus on in-ring work this year in WWE? The only entertaining thing about tonight's RAW was the TNA chants during the RVD/Orton match. Otherwise, just more of the same crap I've come to expect from this slowly falling company. When you combine injuries and terrible booking, you get the worst show of the week.

Masters/ Santino was highly predictable. I knew something bad was going to happen as soon as they startted shownig parts of the wwe.com usually exclusive "Kiss Cam." It's good that the main event is next, because there's not much more that could go wrong for the WWE tonight.

And the main event is John Cena and Bobby Lashley vs. The Great Khali, Umaga, and Shane McMahon. A representation of two of the dullest feuds in wrestling today. How is that something to look forward to?

It's something to look forward to solely because the champion is in it, and it's interesting to see which way WWE Creativity either has them annihilated or prevail each week.
It's also great hearing the crowd argue back-and-forth with "Lets go Cena!" "Cena SUCKS!!!"

They really haven't done much to the One NIght Stand card even though the event is only 6 days away. Not a good example of long-term booking there. Or even short-term booking. After this RAW, I've come to a conclusion that the only current actual star on this brand is John Cena. I would include Randy Orton, but he's only being built up to be crushed by Triple H in a couple months.
All I can say is that was a terrible RAW. WWE is heading into the same bad position it was in last summer. And $40 to see someone beat the crap out of Mr. McMahon AGAIN? Go ahead, knock yourself out Bigddan.

What a messy trainwreck most of the Memorial Day Bikini Beach Blast Battle Royal was. By putting her in the ring, WWE further showed that Kelly Kelly has no clue what she is doing. She was the only one that kept her heels on the whole time and most of the time just wandered around. Parts of it were okay, but then it was topped by the finish having to be done 2½ times before Melina was actually eliminated.
Well, we already knew about it, but I’m intrigued by the whole draft thing since they have let it sit for a couple of years and bounced people around with expiring show contracts and just plain ignoring which brand they are on. Hopefully this will change some of the ignoring. I rather not dignify Shane’s rap-thing with a response.
 Did Jim Ross really call Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas, two guys who are better keeping their mouths shut, articulate?! What in the hell …Oh yeah there was a match there… But first I hope to never see Kenny wearing whatever the hell that way again. Okay, so I did like watching the eight man tag match with so many quality athletes in the ring. Good stuff.
Regardless of the tiny bit of controversary associated with it, Cena has already beaten Khali. His promo failed to build me up at all.
Why do I give a damn what Santino Marella thinks of the draft? He hasn’t even been in WWE for two months yet. They threw the belt on him to take it off Umaga and build Lashley, but they clearly have no idea what do with him and Italian accent from here.
I friggin can’t stand fans who get ringside seats to televised events and then watch the whole damn show on the TitanTron because they just want to jump around every time they’re in the shot. It’s distracting to me as a viewer both because of action in the background and I can’t comprehend of the sheer stupidity of spending that much money to watch wrestling on screen in the arena which you can do at home.
Despite that, I was aware there was a match between Orton and RVD going on. Randy is definitely back on the right track, although that seems to be putting everyone else on the track to concussion city.
The intergender match or ‘Carlito’s revenge’ ended as expected. I suspect the cool one will now move on from here. I hated him with Torrie, but seeing him with Victoria, I feel like it could work with the psycho Diva. I doubt we’ll see that though.
Umaga and The Great Khali ranting at each other in languages the other doesn’t understand was fun to watch. There’s several reason each of these guys have/need handlers and Shane McMahon does not meet the criteria. The McMahons haven’t lost control, but they have no idea what they’re messing with.
Well I for one was happy to watching Chris Masters beat the crap out of Santino. I’m tired of guys putting over this guy who shows about nothing but an Italian accent.
Seeing how I don’t think they could have been that excited by just the match itself, it sounds like the louder Canadian fans were pleased Shane got the pin over Lashley. In this case I don think Canada is backwards, I think they’re smart.

If you want to know the matches, here they are:

Batista & Chris Benoit vs. (C) MVP and (C) Edge
Finlay & Hornswoggle vs. Boogeyman & Little Boogey
Kane, Eugene, & Doink the Clown vs. Kevin Thorn, Viscera, & Umaga
Extreme Expose Dances
Divas do ring announcing for every match
Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole do the commentating

you might get that, but i wouldn't be a damned bit surprised if vince is still holding that belt at the end of the night.
the little red blooded american male devil on my shoulder loved nothing more that seeing a soaking wet kelly kelly, melina and mickie, in little bikinis.... the little angel on my other shoulder though couldn't help but feel concern over a group of women wrestlers, some of which not great workers to begin with, performing risky moves on a wet, highly slippery ring mat....seemed like everyone at least came out of it okay and had fun at least.
overall imo' a really terrible raw tonight...the rvd match would've saved it, but i really don't want to keep seeing 'randy orton-concussion killer'....hope to god he doesn't fight sandman, dreamer or balls mahoney next week.

Looks like Michaels getting injured was a real blessing for Orton. Let's just hope he doesn't blow it.
Umaga and Khali's incomprehensible chit-chat was amusing. I just hope they don't do some lame-o translation.
I just don't get what's so great or so terrible about Cena that the fans have to have a five minute chant battle instead of paying attetion to what's going on in the ring.

On the whole, it sucked. Why? It's the "go-home" show before a PPV for the Raw brand, so of course heels have to win most of the matches. However, I disagree with the booking of the main event. Why does Shane go over? Team McNutty cannot win another match. Lashley or Cena should have gotten the fall.
And, on top of that, they had a golden opportunity to talk up what happened at the indy show last Friday involving Cena and Chairman Wackjob to justify Cena being in the main event as Lashley's partner. It speaks to the lack of talent depth caused by injuries, as well as the sudden selfishness of the McNutty men, that this show was DOA after the first two matches.
Vince MUST drop the ECW title at One Night Stand.

Any of you guys notice that Brooke had some trouble with her bikini during the match!?
Tood Grisham:"Ladies and gentlemen, the WWE Champion - John Cena."
Toronto fans: "Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"
I love bizzaro world!:D
WTF!? What was Murdoch thinking when he dove off the top rope!? LOL!
Orton botched that RKO on RVD at the end. But it was cool looking though. :D
A Draft!? FINALLY!? The last one they had was when!? 2005!? Sounds nice. I hope the rosters do get shaken up, and I mean SHAKEN UP! So I'm guessing this draft is to bring in new guys to Raw for Cena to beat them in main event PPV's!?
LOL! I loved Khali and Umaga yelling at each other in their native languages. :D
Why the hell do we have a PPV this early in June when 2 1/2 - 3 weeks later, WWE Vengeance is on June 24th!? In Houston by the way which I got my tickets since February 1st.:D One Night Stand was suppose to be ECW only PPV but I guess not even ECW have enough wrestlers on their roster to do a 3 hour PPV show!
One Night Stand is the only PPV that will have all matches under extreme rules. Sounds like a concept almost similar to TNA LockDown when all their matches are all steel cage matches.

Umaga and Khali's confrontation was the best thing to happen last night.
As well as the back and forth Cena chants.
So is this RVD's farewell match? Sure seems like it and he sold that RKO real well.
Mr.Kurtz
05-29-2007, 12:21 PM
Love him or hate, or feel indifferent to him as I do, you can't deny that Cena gets the most crowd reaction. That alone justifies his championship spot. Battling chants is always entertaining.
The show did lack some wrestling though. RVD's possibly final wwe match was interesting, mainly for the TNA chants. 8 man match was good, and the ladder match will probably steal the show at one night stand.
I understand why no buildup for SNME but there doesn't seem to be much buildup for the payperview 2 nights later and that seems dumb. Once again, wwe suffers from too many shows.

The back and forth pro and anti-Cena chants really made that main event match great, even on top of a Khali-Umaga tag team, which I've secretly been hoping to occur, even if was just this once.
As my signature will soon say, I respect those Toronto fans for voicing the real wrestling fan's opinion, through the chants and several signs. Note that the pro-Cena chants sounded higher pitched, assuming that it was predomiantely female/younger chanters, while the anti-Cena chants sounded like it was all men, and again assuming, the more dedicated wrestling fan.

Have to slightly disagree. I've been saying for months that Vince (Chairman Wackjob) is clinically insane at least in character, but won't allow being written out via getting committed to an asylum because it'd embarass him to no end. Well, his ego's also spiraled out of control, hasn't it? Won't name a legit GM, and Coachman is only doing Heat after getting squashed by Lashley two weeks in a row.
Seeing how I don’t think they could have been that excited by just the match itself, it sounds like the louder Canadian fans were pleased Shane got the pin over Lashley. In this case I don think Canada is backwards, I think they’re smart.
If conventional wisdom holds here, and I hope it does, it means Lashley gets the title back on Sunday. Shane got at least one pin back, and it was clean. The fans are telling Dr. McNutty they know Lashley was rushed into his spot, like so many others before and after him (Chris Masters, for example), and don't appreciate it anymore. I'm all for HBK superkicking McNutty into that straitjacket and sending him away for a year.:D

I can't help but wonder why the WWE keeps being hypocritical though. "We want the divas to be more modestly dressed, so we're going to have Extreme Expose come out every show, and we're going to start RAW with a bikini brawl."
