Has 4Kids scrapped the Present/Future TMNT schedule?

They aired those Season 1 eps simply to hype up the Season 1 DVD that came out. Now that the DVD is out, they have no reason to air eps for free when they want you to pay for them on DVD.

I don't see why. I mean there are many other shows on DVD that still air on TV, so why not Ninja Turtles. Spongebob Squarepants, Friends, Tick, to name a few.

Which I find funny, since they also aired episodes that will be on the second Season 1 DVD, which won't be out until the fall.

I seriously don't see the logic with you mentioning those first two, which are actually popular shows that have a good reason to continue airing.
And without The Tick, Jetix would be dull and boring IMO (well, outside of Oban and SRMTHFG, but you get my point).

The shows obviously good enough to be on DVD full season set wise, so it's good enough to be on the air. With Ninja Turtles, the reasoning for it not seeing much air time is them saying "You're getting your show back, now get out of our faces."
And Ninja Turtles by the way is still big name at this point, so I don't see why it's treated as an obscurity.

I don't see why that should stop them from continuing on with the rest of the episodes from the following seasons though.

Probably because, when people think of Ninja Turtles, they think of the 87' series, not the 03' series.

Considering that McDonalds had some Ninja Turtle figures a few months ago, it seems the popularity extends to the current series as well. The problem is that the higher ups no longer equate successfulness of a franchise with popularity, it has to be a fullblown fad or it's crap. And regardless of what the suits think, Ninja Turtles aren't lacking popularity.
Take Spider-Man and Batman, it's pretty clear that their status isn't a fad/trend. Does that mean they lack in popularity?

But those toys were based off of the new movie, not the current series.

Fair enough, but I'm sure you agree that a franchise doesn't have to be at fad level to be popular.

You would think that the 'geniuses' at 4Kids would remember how big the Turtles were back in the late 80's, and early 90's. I also blame most people for not giving the 03' series a chance because it's not the Turtles they grew up with.

So wait! 4Kids is showing these early episodes just to promote the DVDs and not to provide viewers a trip down memory lane? That's just arrogant!

And that's the only kind of business they know.

Another thing that gets me is that the Turtles aren't even treated as a comic property like Batman, Superman, and Spider-Man. People still see them as some kind of toy property from the 80's.

It's not like the first time that has happened before. CN aired a mini-marathon of the TMNT 2003 episodes to promote the TMNT movie(and mind you, TMNT 2003 had been off CN for a long while) and never brought the series back.
Or another example is FOX making Adult Swim air Season 2 episodes of Family Guy first way back in 2003. This was done to promote the FG Volume 1 DVD's that came out and FOX didn't want people to see season1 before it came out on DVD.

The funny thing is 4kids is streaming Fast Forward episodes on 4kidsTV.com for free despite a DVD being out for the first 13 eps.
They're also apparently delaying the last 6 episodes of FF (which end the season) till the Fall.
