Damn. I loved him and Brett on Match Game, but we have lost another legend in the entertainment world.

Well I have to say Toodle to Charles here, but I still Loved that one kids show he did in the 1970's.. I mean does anyone here remember Lidsville? No?
Here's one of Charles Nelson Riley's best roles when it came to Evil Villains.
and his catch line was always fun to listen to.

How's that for a topper? *evil Laugh*
Heck But Charles Nelson Riley had a Very Versatile Career, He was on Shows Like Match Game (Always in the Middle Bottom Row), and he even did VA work for animated Shows (I mean All Dogs Go To Heaven is perhaps Charles' Best Remembered role).
And who could forget The Ghost and Mrs. Muir? It was fun watching him being Freaked out by the Sea Faring Captain of a Ghost.
Ah but we'll miss you Charles.. Believe me your humor and your wit will truly be missed.

:( He did great voiceover work in the last couple years. Apart from Dirty Bubble, I loved him as Dale's dad on King Of The Hill.

Unfortunately yes. :shudder:
I'd much rather recall Mr. Reilly's distinctive voice work. And wish for him to rest in piece.

Charles sat on the top right row on Match Game, Richard Dawson sat on the middle bottom role.

Has anyone forgotten his dramatic turns on X-Files & Millennium a few years back? Emmy-worthy material, IMPO. YouTube will get a bazillion hits now for all the Match Game, Lidsville, & Ghost and Mrs. Muir clips they've got.
No offense, but what's wrong with saying "died"? The only times I remember CNR were as Hoo Doo and Uncle Croc.

If it weren't for Match Game reruns, I wouldn't have a clue on who he is. But it's still sad, and I thought he was great on that show!

I just found this out not too long ago. I happen to be a huge Match Game fan, as well.:(
Also, before Match Game started, he made one appearance on The $10,000 Pyramid. He vowed never to be on that show again after that.
Oh, and I also remember him as the evil Hoodoo on Lidsville. I remember the reruns were on ABCFamily a few years ago. He was terrific!:(
I'll never forget you Charles Nelson Reilly.:(

Oh, dear, I remember Uncle Croc's Block. It was Pee Wee's Playhouse on acid. Between Reilly, Johnathan Harris, and some of the freakiest cartoons Filmation ever created, this show had to be seen to be believed.

Agreed, Jose Chung's From Outer Space is my all-time favorite episode of The X-Files. And though I never really cared for Millenium, I really enjoyed Jose Chung's Doomsday Defense. These two episodes were CNR's best work, in my opinion. I guess it would seem exploitive now but I always wished they would release these two episodes together on DVD. I own From Outer Space on laserdisc but Doomsday Defense was never released. I don't really want to buy the whole set of Millenium just for one episode, either.
He was also hilarious on Match Game and creepy-good on Lidsville.
Rest in peace, Charles Nelson Reilly.
