Well, what do you think of Tim Levin's design?

I like it.

Awesome.

A noticable change that stays consistent with the old look.

Great job Mr. Levins!

Hmmmm. Kinda neat, I guess. Though I don't understand the need to change his lower body like that. I liked the older look - it sort of looked like pants and boots, but this one gives him that "wearing his underwear on the outside" look that I don't much care for. The red thing on his chest in this design is sorta cool looking. The buffed up biceps are neat - they make the contrast of the gaunt face even more striking.

I don't like it. I think it's way too "comic-booky". I realize that this is a comic book character, but the metal rings just don't fit.

It was an interesting turn they did, making Freeze just a head, and I think keeping his body basically the same (just slimmed down, but they did that to just about everyone) was a good idea. Now, he just doesn't look like a Batman villain, more like Superman or Batman Beyond.

I like it better than the one in TNBA, but it is still not as good as the original TAS design.

i think some of the parts are wayy to big, for example, those look like some huge boots.

Dude...the ringish things look like armor stuff that's retractable...

Hmmm, interesting. It looks kinda like a combination of Colossus from X-Men with one of the bosses from the Mega Man video games, with Freeze's head thrown in. But I think I like it. I was most fond of Future Freeze, but of course I shouldn't expect that. And we'll avoid griping from the sticklers for continuity.

Do you all realize that this is the FOURTH Freeze incarnation we've seen? That's the most of any character since B:TAS, unless we'll see a re-jiggered Bruce Wayne in JLA. Wait, I guess the Joker counts too.

Perchance, DG, you can reveal where you found this? And will there be more JLA models where that came from?

Come to think of it, the Joker will have had FIVE incarnations:

B:TAS
TNBA
ROTJ (future)
ROTJ (flashback)
JLA

But hey, who am I to stifle creativity? Better than stagnation, anyway.

(Favorite Joker so far: B:TAS)(when he's well-animated, that is)

Jeez, I thought *I* was negative... :)
I actually really like the new look. It'd be cool if Mr. L updated all the characters like that. The only thing I'd add would be Freeze's goggles. I never really liked how TNBA version was missing his goggles.[/COLOR]

Mr. Tim Levins emailed it to me. It will be featured in Batman: Gotham Adventures #40 and as far as I know, will be his new, permemant TNBA look until his next change.

Yeah I miss the goggles too, but in my opinion it makes sense for Freeze to have a different suit from time to time. He would have to build another suit (which would have to be difficult considering he's only a head) everytime he returned considering the fact that his old one would most likely be confiscated after his last encounter with the Bat.

I only hope they come up with a good enough plot to bring him back with. Cold Comfort wasnt that great of an episode and was way off from his prior characterizations. I did enjoy his last appearance in Gotham Adventures #5 though. Hopefully Peterson can write a story that stays true to that issue.

Hey:

I think that the new look is kinda cool looking, they left the face of Mr. Freeze the same as in TNBA but the body looks really cool. It kinda looks like the suit that Freeze used in Batman Beyond "Meltdown".

......the story is about that......his transition. :)

i think it is very cool costume that does not abandon the old look but gives it kinda a new spunk.

Looks alright. I like the BTAS best, then BB, and a toss up between this and TNBA.

Freeze is one of the best villains in Batman because he isn't a monster...he's a pitiable man who has been misunderstood all his life...beginning from childhood when he froze bugs and eventually a hamster in ice cube trays to preserve their beauty. He only had one love in his life, and disease and cruelty conspired to rob him of her.
This new suit serves, I'd guess, to both increase his strength and preserve what's left of him.
One query,though--if nothing's left but his head, how does the man eat?

The Mad Hatter

How does he eat? Well, you've seen the celebrity heads in jars nibble fish food in Futurama... so the answer is "sans dignity."

Did Freeze die in the BB episode Meltdown? I never have seen and was just curious to know if he lived or died.

It leaves you unsure, Freeze most likely survived but thats just my opinion

I love his new look but I kinda miss his goggles :(
Btw, is it me or does Mr. Freeze ...looks like a statue from EASTER ISLAND.

Don't know why but I had to say it...:o
C'mon, you know he will fit right in on Easter Island:rolleyes:

I really like the new design. I like how his gun is on his arm now (or is that a ice cube launcher ;) )

Kingdom Come doesn't take place in animated continuity. Kingdom Come was an Elseworlds mini-series and doesn't have any bearing in the animated continuity.

I think it's great!

To my mind, Tim Levins is the best Batman animated artist since my hero, Mike Parobeck - and that's reflected in how good this design looks.

I do miss the goggles though... http://cwm.ragesofsanity.com/cwm/cwm/evil3.gif

at first, i wasn't too fond of levin's work, but itt has really grown on me. his freeze design is pretty awesome, as is the majority of his work. issue 37 was probably his best yet: his sprang version of batman was prett much dead on...
