Disney's Enchanted is an upcoming live-action/animation hybrid with a modern take on the classic Disney style of storytelling with a princess in danger, an evil witch, and a heroic prince who has to save her.

I didn't post this in the Disney Animation board for a good reason: The majority of this movie is live-action. There ARE entirely 2D animated scenes, but there are very few of them; 95% of this film takes place in the real world.

You can watch the trailer here. (http://progressive.totaleclips.com.edgesuite.net/101/b10139_b2v.mov)

aka* The Charmings-the movie...(if anyone still remembers that sitcom.) -they even took the gag of Eric Charming fighting the truck with his sword from the opening of the show.

I'm thrilled on two levels.

- Disney is actually making a theatrical movie with 2D animation again.
- The description sounded "meh," but the trailer looks amazing.

Hmmm, i don't know. The fairy tail aspect of Disney never appealed to me that much, but the humor in this film seems pretty creative.

Looks great. November 21st, huh? I'll be there. :D

I love the breaking out in song. Brillant.

Yeah, this looks really funny to me, and the 2D animation is spectacular. Oh, and we finally have a movie where James Marsden isn't an utterly boring stiff, and a movie where Patrick Dempsey doesn't make me want to hurt him intensely.

I seriously had doubts, when I herad of the concept, and saw behind the scenes on Disney Channel.
But the trailer did its job and now I'm interested. It looks like fun!

I've been curious about this movie for a while. The trailer makes it seem really good. I can't wait to see it.

Very cool how everything, including the helpful animal sidekicks become photorealistic in the real world instead of just animated.

Im so glad disney is doing 2D again, i just wish it were like that through the whole thing. CGI is way overrated, imo

I saw the trailer during Pirates, and I have to say, this actually has perked my interest. Now, many of the stories involving 'Princesses' lately by Disney (Princess Diaries ect.) have just looked awful, but the trailer made me laugh, and the concept interests me (2D characters changing into real-life characters in the real world). This may be one I'll see this Thanksgiving, or at least rent a DVD of in 2008.
