It's strangely absent from many many Gamestop/EB/EBX stores(it's an exclusive) but seems to be readily avalable online

Has anyone else had any issues trying to find it? I'm curious because the dozen stores I checked frequently over a period of 3 days all turned up nill and no one there knew anything.

Has anyone else attempted at aquiring this compilation and had the same situation?

The title was arguably a bit dramatic, I think. But I didn't see it at Gamestop today, no.

I've been calling up my local EB Games for the past week to see if they've gotten 'Taito Legends 2' yet, and they haven't. I also thought of sending away for it, but EB, and Gamestop don't accept money orders. I hope they do get it eventually because i want it, and i just sold my copy of 'RayStorm'.

It's pissing me off. It was supposed to be released on 5/7 but it got bumped back to 5/16 without much notice. Numerous times in the last two weeks I've gone to numerous Gamestop, EB Games stores, and none of them have it. Every time I go there, they say it's "in the system", that they might get it that afternoon (riiiiiight), and to try back another day.

And before anyone says it, I TRIED to pre-order this game so that they could call me when it came in. No store would let me, as it was a budget title and they weren't accepting pre-orders for it. It was "first come, first serve".

This is turning into another Metal Slug Anthology (PS2) situation, and I don't like it one bit.

FIXED

Well no one cares about your top three movies of 2007, but you seem to have no trouble announcing it in your signature in large letters.

No need to be rude about the thread just because you've no interest in the title. I've no interest in Taito Legends either but I'm not going to make a post mocking others about it.

Yes, it hurts doesn't it?

Now feel the pain of me being denied my Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (I guess I could throw the Wii in for good measure too...is it really that hard to supply a console in mass numbers? ...I smell an Ebay conspiracy...)

I think Taito Legends 2 is currently an online only deal. I manage a Gamestop store and we never have had in our computer with the rest of the reserve games, but it is listed in the computer. Alot of times budget titles will stay online only for awhile and then finally show up in stores a month or two later. I know the original Taito Legends sold very poorly and that could be another reason for the sequel not being in stores yet.

Regardless if you want a copy I suggest ordering online because who knows when or if the game will show up in stores.

Well I finally got my copy via internet and essentialy it's one of the best game compilations out there, especially if you like Shumups. Darius Gaiden is all there in a perfect port as well as Raystorm and Metal Black, and essentialy shumups make up a good portion of the games. There are 3 Space Invaders games this time, with Super Space Invaders 91, Space Invaders 95, and Space Invaders DX(which is a mini compilation of Space Invaders in itself). All in all there are 35 listed games which is more than the 29 which Taito Legends Volume 1 had.

Also Dungeon Magic is there as well, and this was the first time it's ever been to a home console. Being that it's also one of the rarest arcade games in exitence it's pretty much the only way to legally play it. Essentialy it's a Fantasy Brawler much like Knights of the Round but relies on a more heavy RPG influence in level layout and such.

I was able to get a copy today (FINALLY) and have had a great deal of fun playing the games. Shooter fans will probably enjoy this compilation, as there's quite a few in here and you can see the evolution throughout the years, all the way up to G Darius, a favorite of mine.

Qix is simple but still fun as ever. The Space Invaders games (and variants) are classic. And it's hard to beat Puzzle Bobble 2.

But my fave is easily Cameltry (known as "On the Ball" for the SNES). It's so much fun rotating the screen to drop the marble through the levels to the goal, and trying to beat your fastest time in the process.

I wanted to play Elevator Action Returns ;_; but I can't find that game anywhere

I walked right into GameStop, and they had two copies (one as the shelf "open" copy, and the unopened shrinkwrapped copy in the case).

Don't know what y'all are talking about not finding it.

Don't know what y'all are talking about not finding it. With that in mind, I definitely need to look for this when I go on my weekly mall run on Tuesday (as well as a few graphic novels that I'm looking for).

Don't know what y'all are talking about not finding it. Did you try last week when it was officially released, though? That's when I went and I couldn't find it anywhere, even a few days later on the weekend. (I also checked on 5/7, but that's before I knew it was delayed by a week, so that doesn't count)

Also keep in mind not all Gamestops are alike.

No, but the employees said it had come out the last week.

Maybe one or two of the employees bought them as soon as they got off the clock at your Gamestops. When I got The Red Star, the employee lamented that I was getting it before he got off the clock to get it.

More or less one thing I hope comes next is a Lufia compilation.

Since Taito was bought by Square Enix I would certainly like to see another Taito Compilation that features the entire series.

But in all honestly I really liked how Violence Fight was there in all it's strange glory. Apparently The Mafia, Well to do businessmen and reckless drivers liked this game enough.

Indeed one of the first prototypes for 3D arena fighters(it's quasi 3D because of the perspective laid out by the sprite graphics) was in 1989 and used very good graphics for it's time. The fighting itself is rather simplistic but does take a small ammount of stratagy to win(it's kinda like an RSP system)

It also used incredibly badly translated english with such phrases like CAMON BOY

it's an oddity for the ages, it even includes a fight with a tiger as a bonus round

Allthough mostly I've been playing th various Space Invader games and Side scrolling shooters

During my weekly mall run today, I checked the mall's Funcoland and Gamestop for Taito Legends 2. While I didn't see the game at Funcoland, Gamestop did have two copies of it, with me picking up one of them.
