I love how Trey Parker and Matt Stone always complain that they have no more ideas and they're always pressed for time every half season. They spend over 8 months a year NOT making South Park episodes. Why do the seasons have to big these big time-crunching fiascos when they so much free time to think of ideas. Do they shut their brains off completely for 8 months?

True, but they do seem to try and keep the subjects to the most recent and relevant stuff.

Who care's of they take 8 month's usually when it comes back we get to see a good amount of episode's.

We had longer waits.. Remenber the 4th grade series premiere? The final episode pre-4th grade was on the final weekend of June and we saw the premiere of the 4th grade series in November. this was back in 2000, remenber?

Anyway.. The episodes are usually good since they are refreshing with new ideas.. and the season doesn't look forced like in some other shows with 26 eps in a row.

Uh, the last "South Park" episode that took place before 4th grade aired on the end of JULY, not June. So the break only lasted 4 months, compared to the 6 month long break.

Now, there was a long break between the end of 4th season and the beginning of 5th season, though (season 4 ending on Dec. 20, 2000, while the season 5 premier didn't began until June 20 of the following year). This was because Trey and Matt were working on "That's My Bush."
