what's up with the powerpuff girls? why is that show so populer? its not funny and it's not cool either. I know people like different things, but I just can't see why people like this show. Someone tell me what's so good about this show.

You feel the hate too? It feels like....ugh....a really itchy sweater your grandmother got you for Christmas.....not good.

No offense (I hate when people start out things with no offense....they always seem to offend anyway) but I don't like it when people express their dislikes about things without any reasoning whatsover. Just "This sucks!" or "who would watch this crap?." I'm not a PPG fan either, Gyro, but it's always better to be open minded. There's a lot of different people on this site with a lot of different opinions, you would be surprised how many people you could offend with one post. It's best to remain on good terms with everyone, makes the stay more enjoyable y'know :)

Different strokes for different folks. I'm old enough to know that not everyone likes what I like, and I accept that.

In regards to criticizing something unseen, I don't do that myself. Most poeple I've talked to online hate ABC's new cartoon Teamo Supremo. But I cannot pass judgment on it in spite of what my friends say becase our ABC affiliate doesn't show it.

1. Beautiful design work, on the people and the city.

2. Strong, sharply etched characters.

3. *Great* vocal performances that really bring those characters to life.

4. Fantastic writing: strong plots, clever dialogue and a satirical eye second only to the Groening series.

5. A joyous love of the medium: Episodes like "Rainy Day Adventure," "Bare Facts," and "Super Zeroes" that romp through all the possibilities inherent in animation.

6. More Coen brothers references than you can shake a stick at.

Looks good; sounds good; thinks good. I can't imagine how it could be improved.

Good reasons Maxie. I think the magic of the series is a mix of cute kiddie stuff, action, comedy, animation, and paraody. Of course not everyone has to like a series, but I always think you should respect it. I think there is a big enough variety of cartoons cartoons that fans should have at least one of them they like. :)

--there were one or two stinkers ("Catastrophe" and the Beebo episode come to mind; but every show knocks off a clunker or two now and again) it's probably one of the best-done, metahumor-filled, and funnier Cartoon Cartoons. At least vastly superior to a few others I won't name for the sake of discretion,,,,

Seriously, it is a show that someone might not "get." Like CartoonFridays says, it doesn't fit into a particular pidgeonhole but is its own unique self. You have to watch it before it clicks.
