When I re-watched the first two this month, my opinion on this radically changed. Spider-Man 1 is tight and well-told, whereas Spider-Man 2 is fun, but kind of a mess.

2's major advantage is its villain. It's astounding how much depth they added to the character.

In all, though, I think the first film had more impact for me, and I think it's a better film.

(3 isn't even in the running.)
