I'm getting really and truly tired of this, so I'm going to say this just once more. Then I'm going to start issuing private "reminders" to people.
1. People who praise and defend JL and its episodes have no monopoly on love and respect for the show. It is perfectly possible to like the show and at the same time to find fault with it and to point those faults out. Stop pretending otherwise.
2. People who criticize JL for its mistakes and weaknesses have no monopoly on intelligence and taste. It is perfectly possible to love and the defend the show while preserving and exercising your intellectual and aesthetic faculties. Stop pretending otherwise.
3. You don't have to like or respect people who disagree with you. But we do require that you not ACT like you dislike or disrespect your fellow posters. A little hypocrisy -- "grease," if you will -- goes a long way toward making the forum machinery run smoother. I know I have to use it.
And to keep this post from turning into another hook to hang these tiresome discussions on, I am going to lock it.
