As we wrap up a week dealing with the backlash of Backlash (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=189273), SmackDown! saw no winner in its Last Man Standing Match. As a result, The Undertaker kept his title. In other action, Benoit kept his U.S. Title when he beat MVP.

For the first time on broadcast television, the controversial conclusion to the highly brutal Last Man Standing Match at Backlash will be shown this week on SmackDown. Tune in to catch the rare opportunity to see this exclusive footage from the savage encounter. Watch fans at Backlash react to the carnage of the Last Man Standing Match. Speaking of Backlash, World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker and Batista will both head to Friday Night SmackDown beaten and battered. How will these men respond to their vicious meeting at Backlash?

Also on SmackDown, Matt Hardy and Mr. Kennedy square-off in one of the most highly competitive confrontations in the brand's recent memory. Who will walk away the victor, gaining unbelievable momentum on SmackDown?

Finally, Montel Vontavious Porter arrived in Atlanta hoping to claim his first taste of gold when he took on Chris Benoit for the United States Championship, but the resilient Rabid Wolverine used his experience and quick thinking to retain his title. MVP and Benoit have one of the hottest rivalries in sports-entertainment, and on Friday, this rivalry is sure to continue on SmackDown.

I guess that's how Taker will be written out of smackdown. He'll suffer some sort of injury. Yes Taker has torn biceps which will take him out of action for 6-8 months. A total bummer as Batista will most likely be champ. Or they could even throw a bone and have Mr Kennedy. Kennedy. Cash in on his MITB win. That could be more compelling.

I did like how MVP/Kane was the last thing on the show rather than main event hype for next week.

Overall, an ok smackdown.

Considering that they had Kennedy announce he won't cash his "Money in the Bank" until Wrestlemania, then I wouldn't be surprised to see them have Undertaker give up the title like Batista did. Afterwards, they'd probably have a tourney to determine the new champ.

Anyone else have the suspicion that Mark Henry will interfere next week, cost Undertaker the title, then have Henry and Batista have their pre-built feud be over the title?

I think that maybe they think that might be the only way to actually make people care about that feud.

On Monday, Ken Kennedy went on Raw and said that he'd wait until Wrestlemania 24 to cash in the money in the bank. It then comes out that Undertaker has to go on the DL with the torn bicep. Mark Henry was supposed to return officially this week, but gets only a video promo. Either Batista wins back the title outright in the cage, setting up the resumption of hostilities with Henry, or UT retains, only to have Kennedy decide to "change his mind" and pick up the scraps, exactly what he scolded Edge for doing. Either way, there figures to be fresh blood at the top for the summer.

Kennedy had the best match on the show vs. Matt Hardy. Too bad he ended up jobbing in what was a MOTY candidate, the third one I've seen on free TV in the last two weeks.

I'd rather take Dusty over Vicki Guerrero as Teddy's co-GM any day of the damn week.

Sorry for the late post, I had a lot happening this weekend.

As Boogeyman was coming out and Cole was commenting on the smoke I said “Call it putrid” and then was surprised when he didn’t. A few minutes later, he did. :D:shrug:

The interaction between Teddy and Dusty was funny. Was there anyone other than Brawler and Miz waiting in the hall? I turned away for a second.

I loved how Brian Kendrick launched off Deuce to execute Sliced Bread No. 2. Good to see the little guys back on the winning track.

 Matt Hardy beat Kennedy!! Wow, I didn’t see that one coming. Great match with a rather surprising finish.

Jimmy Yang has no business beating Gregory Helms. While I was glad to see Helms away from his unexplained team with Chavo, I did not enjoy the conclusion of the match.

Another winning promo from Batista. :rolleyes2: Did he really say he would slap himself?!

Yeah, all the lower card guys should be in fear of the return of Mark Henry because he’ll probably come for a few of them first. ;)

Miz-Finlay was kind of fun to watch. Hornswoggle hasn’t gotten that much play in quite a while on SmackDown! I couldn’t believe it when Miz came out from under the ring with Hornswoggle’s hat!

This late in the game, I don’t feel like saying much about MVP vs. Kane other than I enjoyed it.
