Has anyone heard anything about the extras planned for future BTAS DVDs (after this first one)? I would really like to see the original Timm/ Radomski two-minute short that got them the job.

I saw it once on HBO during a Mask of the Phantasm promo many years ago and it was very much like the opening to the show, but it was longer and well . . . just different.

Any one else think this'd make a great extra?

Of course, it would make an excellent extra for the DVD as would a commentary on it and commentaries on some episodes. I also remember seeing it once so long ago. Hopefully it will be an extra on a future BTAS DVD. There are many extras that can be put on these discs I'm sure. Anyone remember anything else that would seem like a good extra to put on future DVDs?

There is a rumor that the "animation test" on the Batman DVD will be the two minute pilot, although that looks extremely unlikely. I'll do some sdigging and see what I can come up with. I would definatly want to see that pilot on DVD, if ya ask me...

Absolutely, the pilot should be on DVD. This would be the most logical place to include it- The title is "The Legend Begins", isn't it ?! But if, for whatever reason, it's not included here, it should be on a future DVD. I don't think that the pilot has ever been seen on TV in it's entirety... The HBO "Making of Mask of the Phantasm" special (another thing that SHOULD have been an extra on the "Phantasm DVD   ) showed us a peek, but not the whole thing. I've seen the whole pilot, on one of those bootleg videos you get at conventions, and it's pretty cool.
