Neither my friend or I are big comic book fans, so I don't know if Harley Quinn or Livewire were in the comics so we can only go by the cartoons. If that is the case, who is the better new edition? I happened to like both ladies but i feel that harley has the edge. Hey, she is the female Joker so as far as I'm concerned, Enuf Said!!! My friend here gives Livewire the edge. He feels that she is more of a threat and a menace to Supes than Harley is to Bats. I think Harley gives Bats almost as much trouble as the Joker sometimes. My vote goes to Hrley. My friends goes to Livewire. Your thoughts???

Harley originated in Batman: The Animated Series and Livewire originated in Superman: The Animated Series. I think only Harley has found her way into mainstream comics, but I'm not sure.
Harley Quinn is way better than Livewire.

harley was introduced in the series, but she was so popular that she got her own comic.
I don't know about livewire though.
But to answer your question, Harley rocks. And in a few weeks you'll know what i mean...

Harley Quinn, hands down. Livewire doesn't compare.
And as to whose a bigger threat, check out Mad Love. Harley had Batman on the ropes. She's definitely not someone you should underestimate.
Harley is the best without a doubt.
FYI-Harley wasnt in comics till after she became popular on BTAS. She should never have gotten her own book.
I'm pretty sure Livewire was based on the Legion character Light Lass. Lightning Girl/Livewire. In the new Legion, Livewire is the character that used to be Lightning Lad.
But-I've been wrong before.

Livewire's annoying in a bad way, whereas Harley's annoying in a good way.

My vote goes to Harley. I think Harley Quinn is a much more interesting character than Livewire. Livewire,IMO, is just too annoying.

Livewire could have worked. Livewire should have worked.
But there's only one Harley.
Vroom-vroom! :D

It's all about Harley! I mean, how cool is it that she's the only Bat character to go from cartoon and then to comic? That's pretty awesome. Also, she's just so pyscho, I don't think any of the other female villains are as nuts as she is, even though she may not look it at times.

Livewire's an okay character-
But she doesn't even close to measure up to Harley. Harley is the babe as far as the animated world- I love Harley! :D

Interesting! I always assumed that the two had a previous comic incarnation. Are there any other cartoon only characters out there? By the way, my vote goes to Quinn, because she's a more fleshed out chatacter.

In all fairness, Harley can be annoying at times as well, but I think Livewire is more so. (It's probably because of her voice, but I guess it suits her character.)

I love Harley. I'd take her over Livewire any day.

Harley isn't a female Joker like the boy above said. Joker's much more sinister and she's fun loving nuff said. :) Go Livewire! She makes the perfect punching bag for Kara. :)

Of course Harley has the edge. It's an unfair comparison. Harley has been around several years longer than Livewire (and during a time when the shows did a better job of delving into their characters (BTAS) than later series, which opted more for action (STAS)). In that time, the character has been explored pretty well. The same can't be said of Livewire. Had she had these same advantages, Livewire might stand a better chance.

That's true, but it also says something about Harley's power that she was almost immediately recognized by the fans and creators as something special, so that they worked hard to develop her. Livewire, like Roxy Rocket and Volcana and others, didn't have the same, well, "spark."
