My mother passed away tonight.

Earlier tonight, I had a member of my family passed away.

At around 8:00 or 8:30 this morning, my dad found my mother on the sofa. She was pale and unresponsive. I was woke up and sent to the top of our driveway to wait for emergency vehicles as they arrived. They proceeded to take her to a local hosptial. She was hooked up to a breathing tube and was in a coma.

Around 1:00 P.M., they transfered her to a hosptial in a neighboring county. During both stays I tried to get in contact with several members and friends of the family. Almost Twelve Hours after the nightmare began, My dad, sister, and myself were called into a consolation room. There we were told that they were trying to revive her, but feared that they wouldn't suceed.

Several mintues later, they were right. I later began to call several of those same family members and friends (Though, a few of them were already at the hosptial). I've been spending the rest of that time thinking - thinking what could've been done differently during that time, but knowing that it wouldn't have helped.

Goodbye, Mother and Rest In Peace. You'll be missed.

I am so so so sorry to hear that. You and your family are in my thoughts. It's never easy to lose someone especially someone so important in your life. I've almost lost my father on more than one occasion, the most recent being a year and a half ago and it is terrifying. I'm truly sorry for you.

I know just how much it can hurt to lose someone before you should, though not my parents. It's hard and the hurt can never go away, but it's important to remember the memories you had with that person. Maybe that can help, infinitesimally, help you later down the line. I can't tell you how sorry I am for you, but you're in my prayers, and you have my deepest condolences.

Thanks, guys. I appreciate that, I really do. I don't know what to say, in part because I was never really good at expressing myself. My mom had recently discovered that she had a spot of her brain and lung cancer and was going to have a port installed yesterday. In fact, my dad was getting ready when he discovered her.

The sad thing is that this wasn't the first time in recent years that my family, mostly my mom's side felt lost; both of my grandparents on that side died within a year of each other (My grandmother due to complications from I think her cancer treatment and my grandfather had a stoke and a week later, he died when Hurricane Ivan hit from what my other thought was panic.) So this wasn't something we wanted to deal with again.

Again, guys, thanks and I'm worry for rambling.

My father died a year ago (day after Christmas) and my mother passed away four years ago.

Death sucks, doesn't it. But everything happens for a reason I guess.

Near nothing more rough in the world. What you have to remember is in a real way a very important part of her carries on and you have to make the best of it in your mother's name.

Laugh harder, smile brighter, and enjoy more comic books... enjoy it to the fullest to make the most of the gift your mother gave you, man.

Live a good life so that your mom will know that you're happy and alright.

I know how it feels to have a person in the family pass away about a month ago my grandpa died and i am sad for you

At least, your not alone. My own mom passed away 2 years ago.:( She went into the hospital for a bone marrow transplant to cure her non-hodgekins lymphoma cancer, and she wound up dying of Legionnaire's disease.:crying: I DID manage to recover after the tragedy, even though it took a while. I kept saying to myself, "Life has to go on."

I personally don't know what you are going through, but i am sure its the most painful thing anyone has ever had the misfortune of feeling.
