View Full Version : Possible animated Jason Todd...?

So here's what I was thinking- in Sins of the Father we see the Robin suit that Tim Drake wears throughout TNBA. It's red, black, and yellow, with no green. It's displayed in a case when Tim gets there, so it wasn't made specifically for him, but...
It's not the Robin suit Dick Grayson wore before becoming Nightwing, because that's seen in a display case in other episodes (such as Over the Edge). So I was just thinking- could this "no red" Tim Drake suit have been the one Jason Todd wore? Is there more to the Lost Years than we all think?

Even though it's a possible future, in RoTJ, after what happens to Tim, he swears to never endanger another young person again. You think he'd let another kid be Robin after Dick punched him and another one died?

The Game was refering to the time between Dick's days as Robin and Tim's.
And if you're looking for Jason Todd animated, well, he's already there! They just named him "Tim Drake." :D

I was wondering about that myself...maybe there was a Jason Todd..who knows? Maybe Alfred was feeling crafty and made a new robin suit? lol

Yeah I always thought that animated Tim seemed more like Jason than Tim. I think its safe to assume that's a suit that Dick wore when he was younger.

Yeah, theres no Jason, by name in the series, Tim's character is modeled after Jason's. So They'll never have the real Tim, from the Books. Infact according to the books, Tim should die in the Series, since he came from the streets, and is at times hot tempered, and eager to jump the gun. But I guess, the incident in ROTJ was supposed to equate to the tradgedy that happened to the real Jason in the books.

I don't read mainstream- so what is Tim like in the comics?

As you've stated, it's only a possible future, but still, you never know. It's a valid point but I'm just stating a possibility.

Some people have said that Tim in the cartoon is a cross between Jason Todd and Tim Drake from the comics...but I don't see anything that reminds me of Tim from the comics, except the name. The only time where the cartoon Tim actually reminded me of his comic counterpart was in the recent ep of Static Shock when Batman and Robin came by to stop the Joker. He definetly didn't seem to be like he normally is in TNBA. lol, and I agree, Alfred was probably bored and decided try out a new Robin design :D , it makes some sense! Okay, none at all..but who cares.

No. Right when Tim arrives is Sins of the Father, he sees the suit in the glass case. Alfred acts surprised when he first sees Tim, so her certainly didn't know that he was coming. Therefore, I don't think your theory works, I'm afraid.

I think that Jason Todd may have lived from the time Dick Grayson gave up being Robin, and the time that Tim Drake became the new Robin. I think the Robin suit Tim saw when he came into the Batcave for the first time was the one Jason wore. Later on, in "Over The Edge", although it is an Elseworlds-type episode, you see Dick Grayson's original green-and-red traditional Robin suit, proving the Bat Gang kept his suit in containment just as they did for Todd's. That's only a theory, but I shall stick to it.

It was Dick's suit. Here's why
EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING (VISUALLY) WAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT IN TNBA. IF PEOPLE'S HEADS CAN GROW TO THE SIZE OF BEACHBALLS AND JERVIS CAN GO FROM LOOKING LIKE HE DID BEFORE TO WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE NOW THEN THE COLOR GREEN CAN EASILY DISAPEAR FROM SOMEONE'S OLD CLOTHES. WHY NOT? THEY CHANGED EVERYTHING ELSE WITH A TOTAL DISREGUARD FOR WHAT THEY HAD LAYED DOWN. RIGHT?

Well, if the comics are anything to go by, I'd say yes, because that's exactly what he did! And then he added Spoiler, and a new Batgirl...Is there no end to his child endangerment?? ;)

He's not a smart alleck, he's older, much more serious, tho he has a sense of humor. He's a thinker, he knows computers really well. And, weird as it sounds, he's really sweet. He doesn't judge people, he thinks before he acts, and he's perfectly capable of keeping his own secrets from batman.
(do I sound like a fan?....naaaaawww...)
