The Penguin
04-28-2007, 01:22 AM
The first tri-branded Backlash is Sunday! Prediction cannot be made or edited after the 8 p.m. ET start time on Sunday.

Backlash has six scheduled matches, so everyone's total will be out of six. Predict them all and there won't be no problems.

WWE Championship
Champion John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Edge vs. Randy Orton

World Heavyweight Championship - Last Man Standing
Champion The Undertaker vs. Batista

ECW World Title
Champion Bobby Lashley vs. Umaga, Mr. McMahon & Shane McMahon with Armando Estrada

World Tag Team Championship
Champion The Hardys vs. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch

United States Championship
Champion Chris Benoit vs. Montel Vontavious Porter

Women's Championship
Champion Melina vs. Mickie James

Please remember this thread encompasses anything to do with predictions. Should you feel the need to tally up your score, "challenge" people, or tell the story of the "match for the championship" that is going to fit in here, not the talkback thread for the event which will of course be posted Sunday.

I was wondering how soon this would be up.

http://www.wwe.com/content/media/images/3883682/4481240
John Cena prevails again.

http://www.wwe.com/content/media/images/3883682/4481250
I can't see Umaga becoming the champ. You can tell it's been a while since WWE.com updated the picture as well since Umaga is no longer IC Champ. Bobby Lashley wins.

http://www.wwe.com/content/media/images/3883682/4507444
Taker usually wins Last Man Standing matches, and he prevails here as well.

http://www.wwe.com/content/media/images/3883682/4487600
Cade and Murdoch have had the momentum coming in, so yuo know the Hardy's will win.

http://www.wwe.com/content/media/images/3883682/4572536
I thought MVP would become the champ at Mania, so I'll go with him again.

http://www.wwe.com/content/media/images/3883682/4515996
Will Mickie James become the champ again this soon? I doubt it. Go with Melina.

The sad thing is there are more title matches at Backlash than there were at Wrestlemania. I also wouldn't be surprised to see a Cruiserweight title dark match.

This looks to be another month on the rebound for me.

1. CENA wins as he overcomes the odds for the 6,000th time. I wouldn't shocked if this is the last time HEY competes in a RAW main event.

2. TAKER wins and Batista continues his awful face run despite him not the champ.

3. LINDSEY wins as he overcomes the odds for the 400th time.

4. HARDYS win.

5. MVP wins.

6. This could go both ways. I'll go with MELINA here.

1. WINNER: CENA. A few days ago I might of said that Edge would weasel out a victory. Buuut, the more I look at it, the more it looks like it's gonna be Vince's Golden Boy all the way. :(

2. WINNER: UNDERTAKER. Undertaker and Batista will beat each other to a bloody pulp, but Taker will emerge victorious. Kennedy might try to cash in the Money in the Bank while Taker is not 100%....

3. WINNER: LASHLEY. Umaga or the McMahons as ECW Champ? I don't think so. There's a chance Shane might get massacred. Few people can get destroyed as well as Shane O' Mac. :D

4. WINNER: MVP. At least one heel has to win, and MVP is ready to hold some gold.

5. WINNER: THE HARDYS. No way that Matt and Jeff are gonna drop the belts this soon.

6. WINNER: MICKIE JAMES. This one could go either way, but I like Mickie, so there. :anime:

(C) The Pimps of Inferno- Punisher & Shakezola (27/40)
1) Two Man Power Trip- Kippy and The Penguin (26/40)
2) R. I. P.- Deadman and bigddan11 (23/40)
3) The M and V Connection- VCXZX and Matt Hazuda (22/40)
4) The Headliners- Rattrap and PTurkey (21/40)
5) Zero Signal & Jewelz (19/40)

These were the standings after Wrestlemania, but since then we know that Rattrap has retired, Spike Mcdougal announced he has teamed up with Majin Megabyte, and Redninja84 has begun a search to find a tag team partner as well. Will PTurkey leave the ranks of the TWE tag division to focus on his singles career; will he announce Redninja84 is his new tag partner, or will someone else emerge to cause problems in the tag division? The answers will be revealed at Backlash.

WWE Championship
Champion John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Edge vs. Randy Orton
I was going to go with Orton before he misbehaved. Everything so far has been pointing to HBK. Cena won't be pinned though, and a rematch will be set up.

World Heavyweight Championship - Last Man Standing
Champion The Undertaker vs. Batista
Taker's only been champion for a month. He can't lose it so soon. Unless my prediction about Kennedy comes true.

ECW World Title
Champion Bobby Lashley vs. Umaga, Mr. McMahon & Shane McMahon with Armando Estrada
Can anyone really see any of the challengers as the ECW champion?

World Tag Team Championship
Champion The Hardys vs. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch
Those last two matches assured that the Hardys will come out victorious.

United States Championship
Champion Chris Benoit vs. Montel Vontavious Porter
MVP needs the U.S. title more than Benoit. Losing it will put him back on the World Heavyweight title hunt.

Women's Championship
Champion Melina vs. Mickie James
This is really a toss up, but I'm going to go with Melina. Mickie really hasn't done anything in this fued.

Only six matches. Aside from that the card looks good. I'm still wondering when Flair and Carlito will have their match.

WWE Championship
Champion John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Edge vs. Randy Orton
Cena His time is still now. Orton obviously won't do it and Edge is still limping around acting like he is going to wrestle. HBK, I don't know, but he's not my pick.

World Heavyweight Championship - Last Man Standing
Champion The Undertaker vs. Batista
Undertaker The Animal is not making his way back to the top any time soon.

ECW World Title
Champion Bobby Lashley vs. Umaga, Mr. McMahon & Shane McMahon with Armando Estrada
Lashley 'Nuff said!

World Tag Team Championship
Champion The Hardys vs. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch
Hardys The two Texans have been built up with their wins on RAW, it's time for Matt & Jeff to overcome those odds.

United States Championship
Champion Chris Benoit vs. Montel Vontavious Porter
Benoit MVP couldn't do it last time and while he has been impressive on the mic, beating these ham'n'eggers does not make someone look like a U.S. Champion.

Women's Championship
Champion Melina vs. Mickie James
Mickie She's been built up for the win, even if Melina keeps the belt, Mickie gets the victory.

Cena over HBK, Edge, & Orton, with Ragin' Randall doing the J-O-B.:D

Mickie gets the Women's title back from Skanklina. I think this was meant to happen here, and the fans in Paris got a gift on Tuesday.:D

Hardys over Cade & Murdoch. Two weeks ago, I thought Cade & Murdoch might go over, but after sweeping the split singles matches in Europe, my opinion has changed.

MVP over Benoit. I was wrong at Wrestlemania, but hopefully not this time.

Undertaker over Batista. I see Mark Henry showing up somewhere along the way, as he has unfinished biz with Bats, which might explain why there hasn't been a full heel turn.

Lashley over the McMahons & Umaga. We know how this will go. Chairman Wackjob will overplay his hand---again. I look for Snitsky to get involved to start his program with Lashley. Either Vince or Shane is doing the job here, as I can't see Umaga jobbing in a 4th straight PPV.

I have the feeling that PTurkey may be determined to unmask Sub-Zero as he smells a potential set-up. Of course things in the tag division are still developing as the Backlash hits the TWE with power.

Undertaker. I expect a long and prosperous run for him.

Lindsey wins, making him the umpteenth person to overcome the Macmahons.

Hardys win. No reason, it's just cause of who they are.

MVP takes the US title, and this time he actually seems credible enough to win it.

Melina manages to hold onto her belt for a little while longer. It's the women's title, so who really cares?

Cena lost on Monday, so I doubt he's losing tomorrow. The Champ retains the belt when he pins Randy Orton or makes him tap out to the STFU.

Bobby Lashley beats the odds again, and pins one of the McMahons to retain the ECW title.

In previous PPV's, Penguin stated that if it was a no decision, anyone who didn't specify that was the case in their predictions would be wrong, because you always have the ability to say no decision. A double countout is essentially the same thing. Neither person won, so Taker kept the title.

bigddan11
04-30-2007, 01:07 AM
The night began with with the music "Here Comes the Money." TWE Commissioner Kippy slowly made his way to the ring carrying not one, but two cases containing Money in the Bank contracts. After grabbing a mic, he welcomed everyone to Backlash. As he was "Mr. Money in the Bank" for both the tag divison and the world title, he felt no need to discuss being anything other than he was the best. He challenged anyone to come to the ring who dared say otherwise, but he also warned them if they couldn't beat him, they would join Rattrap in the ranks of retirement, except they would offically be FIRED!!!! No one dared challenge the commish, so he declared the fans didn't deserve to see him fight in a meaningless match anyway. He said they needed to watch a worthless man, a man who had nothing to gain or lose, a man he'd helped crush.

Kippy then introduced Spike Mcdougal to the ring. Instead of the regular music though, the music "Some Bodies Gonna" began playing, and Spike Mcdougal made his way to the ring with Majin Megabyte. Seeing Spike with someone else, Kippy told him to halt where he was. He informed Spike and Majin Megabyte if they laid one single hair of their bodies on him, they would be suspended. Instead, since they appeared ready to compete, a tag team invitational would be held for Spike and his "new partner."

Kippy called for Zero Signal and Jewelz to come to the ring, but instead crazy kung fu music startted up. From behind the apron came redNinja84. The Ninja was upset. He had extended an invitation to be Spike's new partner at Wrestlemain, but Spike had ignored him claiming he was a nobody. As a result, the Ninja had decided to take things into his own hands. The music of "We are the Aqua Teens" startted up, and out came email2003. The ninja dclared that he and email2003 were teaming up to prove they were stars in the TWE. Kippy said if they wanted to team up, that would be fine, but it would now be a fatal four-way as Zero Signal and Jewelz were also told to come to the ring.

TWE Tag Team Initiation match
The match began with Spike Mcdougal, Zero Signal, and RedNinja84 all being in the ring. RedNinja84 began attacking Spike, so Zero Signal decided to sit in the corner and watch for a bit. The former Odessan Outlaw began slapping RedNinja84 in the chest, slowly backing the ninja into the corner and right towards Zero Signal. Zero Signal decided to be a little high risk, and so he jumped from the top rope and nailed Spike in the chest. Afterwards RedNinja84 performed a moon sault while Zero Signal tagged Jewelz in. While Zero Signal distracted the ref, Jewelz nailed RedNinja84 in the Jewelz, and then she covered Spike. the ref turned around 1, 2, but email2003 broke up the count. Jewelz turned her attention to the interferee, but Spike used this opporutnity to move to his corner. He tagged in the giant Majin Megabyte, and the giant went quickly to work. He nailed a big boot to Jewelz and tossed RedNinja84 out of the ring. Zero Signal tried to help his sister, so Majin Megabyte went old school on him, and Spike nailed email2003 with a leap from one end of the ring to the other. Majin Megabyte covered up Jewelz, and the count went 1, 2, 3. Majin Megabyte and Spike Mcdougal won their initiation match, but as the two began celebrating, the music of "Turn the Tables" startted up, and from the apron came R. I. P. bigddan11 said it was going seeing Spike wrestle again, and he hoped Spike enjoyed the match, because it would be his last. R. I. P. announced after they defeated The M and V Connection tonight, Spike would once again be his target. If Spike and Majin Megabyte could defeat R. I. P., Spike could have his nickname of the "Odessan Outlaw" back, but if the two lost, well their careers would be ended by sledge, table, ladder, chair, or whaever way they decided to injure the two superstars in a No Holds Barred Match, if the two were willing to accept. The crowd booed as R. I. P. headed back to the back, and Spike and Majin Megabyte knew they had a dangerous tag team waiting for them in the near future, but what would their decision be?

In previous PPV's, Penguin stated that if it was a no decision, anyone who didn't specify that was the case in their predictions would be wrong, because you always have the ability to say no decision. A double countout is essentially the same thing. Neither person won, so Taker kept the title. That is correct. Draw is a legal pick and I have made it before (not this time unfortunately). No one won the World Championship match so an Undertaker prediction is incorrect just as a Batista prediction is incorrect.

As I recall, no one made a "draw" prediction so everyone gets the World Championship match wrong. It's not fair to assign a win to the champion when he didn't get the victory. If this was a match where Batista could have won by DQ, you would credit for picking him, not the still champion Undertaker.

This makes the event results as follows...

2-4, not a good night for the Fanatic....

To say that Vince as the E-C-F'N-W Champion is disgusting would be a colossal understatement.

2-4, like so many others. I think everyone picked Lashley, and got royally screwed by Chairman Wackjob. No one saw the draw in the LMS match coming, although I think I suggested it was possible. Bah. They really have to write Crazy Vinnie out now, but he doesn't want the obvious solution (committed to an asylum) used because he thinks it makes him look weak. Well, he's making a fool of himself and embarassing the company while doing so. What does that tell you?

It's me! This is the first time I've held the World Heavyweight Championship since The Great American Bash in 2004. bigddan11 and Punisher are the new number one contenders. Who will be able to walk away with the gold at Judgment Day?

Thanks again and be sure to return later this month to make your predictions for Judgment Day!

The Intercontinental Title Champion is decided by a calculating who has the highest percentage of correct guesses over the three most recent pay-per-views. The Heavyweight Title score awards points for correct guesses (no penalty for wrong guesses) for the six most recent pay-per-views. The points system for the heavyweight title is weighted such that more recent pay-per-views are worth more points. Do you really need to ask who'll walk away as the Champ at Judgement Day? Let me say it now loud and proud; the Silent Stalker is within striking distance, and soon he'll be the champ to rule them all.

How many PPV's have you picked at now? Since the World title is based off of the most recent 6 PPV's, if you haven't picked at least 6 PPV's, you wouldn't be listed. You should be on the IC Standings though.

The only reign you'll see is me taking you down in the World Title match just before I pin Kippy and show the world how weak you are. The Silent Stalker has been studying your moves, and now it is time to strike.

Whoops, I forgot to mention that. My old college has finally deleted my account, so I need a new place to host the Excel file. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Edit: I uploaded the results file to my ancient Geocities account and updated the link in my results post. That should work for now.
