The anime classic gets new life on the Playstation 3
http://www.platformers.net/index/images/picture_media/bh_megazone23.jpgThe Anime News Network (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/) reports that as part of the series 23rd Anniversary, developer Compile Heart (http://www.compileheart.com/) will be creating an adventure game based on the classic anime OVA (Original Video Animation) Megazone 23, the series that popularized the OVA medium in Japan, for summer release on the Playstation 3.
A trailer for the game is included in the Japanese DVD collection, Megazone 23 Complete Box.
Many may recognize the characters and mecha from the 1986 theatrical film Robotech: The Movie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091862/) , in which footage from the first Megazone 23 episode was spliced together with footage from Super Dimensional Cavalry Southern Cross.
