INFO:
- Total of twelve captains in the game (eight old, four new)
- Total of eight mix-and-match sidekicks (four new ones: Boo, Shyguy, Drybones, Monty Mole)
- Each character has their own new cinematic and unique soundtrack
- Total of sixteen stadiums (nine new)
- Each stadium has unique events occurring during a match (ala Mario Tennis for the GCN)
- Single play game is now more robust with modes such as Road to the Striker Cup as well as Striker Challenges
- The more the ball is kicked around, the more energy it consumes and thus the better chance of scoring presents itself
- Mega strikes (where the defending goalie has to block oncoming balls via the Wiimote pointer) can only be used when a certain gauge is filled, thus do not expect it to be used within every scoring attempt
- As such motion controls are used sparingly (for punching and mega strikes) as the game is face-paced
ONLINE:
- Each Mii can have its own profile but also it's own FC (so now game and Mii specific? Odd)
- Comprised of ranked and unranked matches
- Season based, ranked leader-board system will be 3 months in length (wow)
- 1v1 or 2v2 online option available: Restricted to ranked and to two people on one Wii verses two people on another
- Unranked matches can do 3v1
- Unranked matches can be setup with special parameters
- Unranked matches are the only ones that use FC's (so the main meat of the online game is played with random people)
- Ranked matches use match-making system that takes overall records into consideration and pairs similar players together
- Positive scoring system is in place: Win points for winning matches and scoring goals, win points still (but much less) even if you lose matches, lose points for disconnecting
- Multiple leaderboards: Season Leaderboard, Friends Leaderboard, Striker of the Day Leaderboard
