Best Makeovers

In lieu of 'Crash of the Titans' -in which Crash finally gets a more radical makeover as opposed to the slight cosmetic stuff since WoC-, I'm curious to see what fellow gamers think is the best makeover for a long-time character in a video game.

Obviously Final Fantasy games -especially 7's cheapquelllerrr... sequels/prequels- don't necessarily count, since most of those are fairly subtle changes in clothing. Only really 'radical' makeovers -such as FFX Yuna to FFX-2 Yuna or Samus in her Fusion suit- count in this case.

My personal favorite?

Lara Croft.

This image pretty much speaks for itself. I just threw in Anniversary for the sake of it, though I LOVE the character model and I hope they use it for TR8. But anyhow, what really bugged me originally was that when she was with other characters -especially in the later games- she always looked so out of place, due to her face and overall figure. Not so much anymore with 'Legend', which was SO NICE to see. =D

Not to mention her outfit in 'Legend' was fairly practical -especially for the 'hotter' areas she visited- but she also wore suitable clothing for the various places. Niiiiiice!

I've always liked the makeover SNK has given to Terry Bogard. That said, both designs are still pretty awesome. That said, it's pretty radical. I mean how can Terry swap his trademark long-flowing braided hair, SNK cap and red vest for a bomber jacket and shortened hair?

Amy Rose from the Sonic the Hedgehog series also benefited from a makeover as well.

What's yours? Personally, I like the character model for Legend better than the one for Anniversary. Plus I have a feeling that her outfits won't change in TRA like they did in TRL, being based on the first game and all. (though I'd love to be proven wrong)

Boris: This is just hearsay at this point in time, but I believe there'll be the return of the 'outfit' system from 'Legend', so while the entire game will have her in the classic get up (which I feel is very impractical for the first couple Peru levels), there may still be the option to replay in other clothes.

I've also heard that a few outfits from past TR games (such as the wetsuit) will be unlockable as well, but I can't be too sure there either.
