Getting
Action Comics #852: Even though the Donner issues had gaps, I was at least glad that the fill-in issues still carried the overall story. But now that the comic is Countdown-centered, I may give it up. Depends if it's still good.
Batman #668
All-Star Batman and Robin, The Boy Wonder #6: This is beyond awesome. I'll never have to feal guilty about cancelling it, because it'll never come out! It's win-win!
Nightwing #34: I told myself at the comic shop I would kill my subscription to it. And now they bring back Vigilante? Looks like I'm back to getting it.
Robin #164
Superman/Batman #38
Brave and the Bold #38: Looks like Supergirl's not the only one to be able to be in two times at once.
Countdown #43-40
Green Arrow: Year One #1 and 2
Justice League of America #11
Teen Titans #49

Not Getting but Like
Iron Giant Statue: Want...So...Bad...But...Can't...Afford...
The Death and Rebirth of Superman Omnibus Hardcover: If I didn't already have these in single issues and Trade from, I'd get this. All in one deluxe hardcover is very awesome, even if the quality of the story is debatable. The impact it's had on the Superman mythos is worth it alone.

Still taking into account my massive cutbacks...

BATMAN #668
DETECTIVE COMICS #834
SUPERMAN CONFIDENTIAL #6
GREEN ARROW: YEAR ONE #1 & 2
THE SPIRIT #8

So light I'm not really gonna notate anything. All of these, aside from Green Arrow, are must-reads for me only because of who's writing them.

I plan to purchase:
Action Comics #852
Superman #665
Showcase Presents: Wonder Woman TPB, vol. 1

I'm thinking about buying:
The Flash: Greatest Stories Ever Told TPB
The Legion of Super-Heroes in the 31st Century #4

Just buying "Action" since Busiek's writing it (and figure probably will tie into "Superman" somehow/help explain things, since I'm sure as heck not touching "Countdown" or anything else related to it...).

That The Death and Return of Superman Omnibus is just screaming to me. I already have The Death of Superman trade though but none of the others. And it is hardcover too which makes it all the more attractive.

Which issues are being reprinted in the Showcase Wonder Woman? I'm guessing only Silver Age ones? I really want some of the old H.G. Peter-drawn WW, and I don't want to buy the Archives since I can't afford them.

Oh well, I guess I can hope that I'll at least get to see some of those I-Ching Wonder Woman issues, which I REALLY want to read.

The Showcase Wonder Woman volume starts with "Wonder Woman" (vol. 1) #98 from 1958, which is usually cited as the first Silver Age WW issue, since it's the first issue with Mike Esposito and Ross Andru doing the artwork (who replaced HG Peter; Peter's last work was on the previous issue, #97), plus featuring various updates to Wonder Woman's origin (mainly losing the World War II references, IIRC).

I-Ching came along in the late 60's, and thus the SHowcase series would have a ways to go to get to that point...

Maybe they'll make a paperback chronological reprint series of Golden Age WW stories someday (a la the Superman and Batman ones)...
