Ill go then...
Seeing how most artist are lazy by nature, i had my art teacher give me some advice in a "heart to heart" talks i had with her last semester.
From what i remember is if you have the talent, then use it. And if you go to work for someone, you need to be mentally ready to get a finish project in on time and no "well can you give me an extention" answers (although, whoever your presenting your work to says they will give you an extention because there interested and would like to see a final project, then thats a good sign).
also dont stick to one style. if you have multipule styles, then your everyones first pick for a project, which in many ways can help you up the corperate ladder and to teach others how to do other styles as well. multi is the way to go in the art world. im not saying you have to like them all, but if you have skills in painting/greyscales/penciel/illustrations/watercolors etc., then you can use those styles in whatever project your working on to better articulate your design or illustration.
i think thats all i have to say for now...
