Well, I've only bought one game made in 2007 and that was Metal Slug Anthology, so I'll vote for that. Classic sidescrolling platform shoot-em-up action.

But there's still many months to go. I have a feeling once Tomb Raider Anniversary comes out, I may be voting for that instead.

To be fair, how many AAA titles from the big three have come out in the past three months? Those all inevitably get pushed back until the holiday season.

Which is why I really have nothing to submit to this thread; all I've been doing the past three months is catching up on all the stuff I couldn't buy in November / December 2006 due to spending all my money on presents for other people. I think the only game I've bought this year that actually came out this year was FF VI Advance, and that doesn't count as it's a port of a decade-old game.

My Gamefly copy of Super Paper Mario should be showing up any day now, though; that's the first 2007 game I'm really excited about. We'll see.

It was made in 2006 for the Wii and PSP. Don't know when it was ported to other systems, though.

I took a look at game rankings yesterday and they have average press scores(which consists of all websites,shows, and magazines that rate games), and they have the top rated games of the year, i wish i had a link but game rankings is offline temporarily. But the top rated game is God of War 2 followed by Oblivion PS3, and close behind in third is Guitar hero 2 X-box 360 also assorted in there is Virtua fighter 5, The Oblivion expansion shivering Isles, paper mario doesn't have enough reviews yet to be ranked but that to will probably be ranked in the top ten.
