I was just wondering if anybody on the forums have met the creative team behind any DCAU shows. Teen Titans, The Batman, and Legion of Superheroes, and The Zeta Show counts.
Please share your experience.
Where they nice, did you learn anything new about your favorite show?
I have not had a chance to meet anybody personally, but a friend of mine got Paul Dini's autograph. :)

I saw Bruce Timm at ComiCon last year. The BT Retrospective was awesome, but by the time I got to his table downstairs, the line was huge. But it was cool just to see him. Paul Dini I saw the year before. I was in the line to meet Bruce Campbell and Dini was at a little table probably no more than six feet away. I didn't want to lose my place in line, so I just gave a shout out to him that I loved Batman: The Animated Series.
And while he wasn't a crew member, my first real life encounter with the DCAU was when I met Kevin Conroy at a WB store back in 1998 and got his autograph. And I've kicked myself ever since for forgetting to bring my camera.

I've had conversations with a few of them through email, never met any of them face to face. Need to get done to San Diego one summer for Comic-Con.

I just remembered that I had a little conversation with J. Torres, writer of Teen Titans Go! Comic Book Series. :) He was very willing to answer my question.

So far I've personally met:
Kevin Conroy (on a few occasions) and the entire voice cast of JL
Paul Dini
Bruce Timm
I'm a regular convention go'er so I see Bruce Timm all the time. The first time I met him, he really came off as an arrogant jerk. He was really snappy with answering fan questions. Keep in mind, this was on the convention floor and not in a panel. He clearly made himself available to people... however, he seemed really stand-offish. Then I realized a bunch of people were asking him for art sketches. At that point, I sort of understood his predicament. The next few times after that, he seemed pretty cool. I had one conversation with him as he was quickly rummaging through a bunch of comics for sale.
Paul Dini is a really nice guy. Very friendly right off the bat (pun intended :D). He was very patient with answering questions and you could tell he was genuine with his answers.
Kevin Conroy is an absolute gem. Great guy, very personable. I have a picture with him and I shaking hands. Of all the people involved in the DCAU, I feel he's been one of the most loyal, dedicated, and hard working. I really respect that fact that he's embraced the voice of Batman.

I'd love to meet Paul Dini, Bruce Timm, Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill in particular. Living in London though, it isn't likely to happen.

I met Paul Dini at the con here in NY a few months ago. I just told him that I loved the latest Detective comics (with Joker driving Robin around) and that it reminded me a lot of "Joker's Favor", one of my favorite BTAS episodes he wrote. And then we made some joke about the lesson from both stories is how you don't screw around with Joker in a car.
