I'm not greatly familiar w/ villains outside of Gotham or metropolis
Supes & Flash confronted the Weather Wizard in "Speed Demons". In enjoyed the team-up but frankly, the Wizard was a gimpy villain. I hope the Flash has more to offer than him. I only know of Captain Cold & Mirror Master by name. Are these two viable villains. What makes the Cap'n different from Mr. Freeze (besdies the bio-mechanical refridgeration suit)?
And Mirror master? Sounds like a carnie. Is he some master theif? Is the Shade a Flash villain. Or am I thinking of the Shadow Theif??? Help me Obi Wan!!!
And what's with the reverse Flash. Is he like the Bizarro Flash or something?
I'd appreciate it if someone would school me on the Scarlet Speedster. Thnx.

I don't know alot about Flash's villians. I did read him back in the day when he was Barry Allen and a few of Wally West issues.
His most popular villians are Gorilla Grodd, The Shade, Reverse-Flash, Abra Kadabra, Capt. Cold, The Trickster, Mirror Master, Capt. Boomerang, The Weather Wizard, the Rainbow Raider.
As far as I remember a lot of the villians are from the future. And rainbow steals color or light and that would make a cool black and white episode of JL.

Grodd & the Shade sound cool. Rainbow Raider??? Give me a break! Captain Boomerang? Gag! The Trickster? Is he some Joker-wannabe? The Flash needs some help in the viallain dept.

The Trickster being like the Joker, funny you should mention that. In the Flash tv series, he was played by Mark Hammil, who of course does the voice for the Joker in BTAS.

Actually the Flash had quite an extensive array of villains, his own "Rogue's Gallery" in fact. A few have been named, like Gorilla Grodd, Mirror Master, and Professor Zoom....but there were still scores of others like Mr. Element, Heat Wave, Captain Boomerang, Red Rockets, Speed McGee, etc.

I'm going to sound like a broken record, because I've said this before, but my favorite Flash site is http://www.hyperborea.org/flash/villains.html
The particular section I point to there gives you lots of info on many of his enemies, but you can also get info on the different Flashes, their allies, etc. That site is really a wonderful source of Flash info.
IMO the best Flash villains tend to be the ones who show up once and you don't hear from them again. They tend to be more interesting then slightly lame villains like Capt. Cold or Capt. Boomerang who really showed up more frequently with the now-deceased Flash, Barry, than the current one, Wally.

Yeah - the Flash's villians are pretty lame. (Weather Wizard  ) but the current writer of the Flash comic is trying really hard to make them cooler.

--Turtle Man. From what little I know of him, he's a brilliant but slow-speaking guy who has outsmarted Flash (who tends to use his feet more than his brain, admittedly) a time or two. He patterned himself after an old foe of the first Flash, who later became his mentor (see Tully's site). Plus he's never been used in the cartoons. I'm not sure if he'd be a good villain to build a whole ep on, because he doesn't have a hip costume and his speaking mannerisms may put off or even offend folks--though he could be partnered with Grodd or Reverse Flash as a scientific consultant....

I would love to see a B&W episode. This would be so cool, especially if Batman and Hawkgirl were featured prominently.

That's a wonderful thought. I love b&w anyway (in films in general). I wonder if it would ever fly?
