I like the earlier seasons of Power Rangers than I did the last couple of seasons. By earlier seasons I mean from the begin of power rangers to zeo. The change after the zeo weren't that good in my opinion. It seems to me that the power rangers today are just changing their powers every seasons for the sake change them.

Hi, I'm JohnCrichton.. an astronaut and resident Power Ranger profession/fanatic of zee CNX and you couldn't be more wrong.

You seriously need to read this. (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17515)

First off, we gotta git the lingo straight people. We Ranger Fans call it Zordon Era vs Post Zordon Era.

Zordon Era stretches from MMPR to PR Turbo. Power Rangers in Space is what followed so this could be considered of both Eras but I prefer to think of it as the beginning of the new Post Zordon Era.

I'm not knocking the ZE stuff. I came across some old soundtracks from the early seasons and found myself missing the fun and heavy cheese factor it used to have. "Let's finish this dude!" You don't get stupid goofy lines like that anymore, slapping dated lines of slang in at random.

Now you get more serious, but still cool, "I won't give up until I've taken my last breath!"

But as I'm seeing more and more Sentai(original Japanese Ranger stuff, where PR gets its footage) I can see that now the American versions are adhereing a bit more to it's more serious Japanese roots.

You said changing just to be changing, but that's exactally what they were doing before. Moving from Dinosaur Power, for those just to run out... to getting Spirit Animal Ninja Power..... to dropping those and picking up the Zeo Crystal... to for no reason other than to use new footage drop those powers(they're still out there somewhere, but nobody cares!) and get stupid Car Power in PR Turbo.

Since that came to an end, there's been an actual reason for new series to come out.

They..... finished the story!

Power Rangers in Space started with the Rangers searching for Zordon and teaming up with a lone Space Ranger, Andros. After they found Zordon and unfortunately had to kill them, they wiped out the threat to the Earth. They hung up their tights and retired.

Power Rangers Lost Galaxy occured while following the story of the space colony, Terra Venture. The young heros were slung across the galaxy to find swords in a stone. They drew the swords and became the Galaxy Rangers to protect Terra Venture until it reached its destination. Once it did, and they killed the bad guys that were chasing the.... they returned the swords to the stone.... went on with their lives.

It goes on like this. So, now especially they're not changing powers just to be changing them. Like Japanese manga and anime series, there's a set story to be told, and an arc in which to do it in.

Ya'll bettah recognize!

I prefer the older eps and plan to tape them all up to a certain point when they begin airing again on ABC Family in March. People seem to forget..it was the cheese factor and the low budget special effects that made the earlier eps so much better. It brought back memories of the old Creature Features that used to air on Saturday afternoon with Godzilla and Gamera.

Yeah, but in doing that they ruined stories, storylines and all need for a story.

Like how anime fans would cry bloody murder if they brought Outlaw Star to America, but hack and slashed it to bits and made it a whole new story, then editted it some more, so that they could make it connect with Tenchi Muyo.

Slash and cut so that you could have Gene talking to Washu... that's a horrible idea, and that's what was being done in Zordon Era stuff.

PR's a ton better off now than it was.

I like the new series (Power Rangers In Space (1998) - Power Rangers Time Force (2001)) more because they just have better stories. I don't care that they change every year. It doesn't hert my head by changeing every year. God, i hate it when people hate a show because of change. Just like Batman Beyond. Some people hated it, just because it wasn't the real Batman or the real villains. I say, grow up! Things change!

I liked the original Power Rangers, but I kind of lost interest at the point where they got the white ranger.

original Power Rangers up to the FIRST movie(which I just bought on DVD not too long ago) were really cool, loved 'em, then I just lost interest...

On a side note its sad how the actress who originally played the Yellow ranger died in the past year. If you look at the first few episodes their was some goofy charm to the action sequences filmed abroad. But as time went on the thing got so bad and contrived that it seemed as if they were raffling off plot developments. Hey guys lets call it Power Rangers Turbo in Space on a Stick! After they created the Ultra Zord things really started going down hill untill they replaced what was left of the original crew.

You should have had an "I like them both" option, because I do. For varying reasons. The early seasons because of the cheese (I like cheese) and the later seasons because of the evolving characters, set plots, and more serious tones.

I liked 'em both, but I liked Post Zordon better.

Rookies..... they know not what they speak. Has no one read my posts... gah!

I don't care about the japanese version. I love my cheesy power rangers. I think they kept change season after season to make more money off merchandise. I likes what I like and like everything from of power rangers to zeo, but I have dislike turbo and everything after zeo. This is reminds me of Macross and Robotech. I like both of those shows, but I'm getting of the subject.

I mostly liked the Zordon Era (just to amuse John! :D ), Lost Galaxy and now, Time Force. Because of the latter, I voted post-Zordon era episodes. Parts of Zeo were good but the ending was just too open. The rest are mediocre in my opinion.

I started to become a fan when Jason the first red ranger left. He was so arrogant and annoying. But when he left I really liked the show. Rocky used to be my favorite Ranger. And I really liked the movie too. I stopped watching when Kimberly left and Rita's Dad turned the Rangers into little kiddies.

I really loved to see Rita and Zedd together they were so freaking funny :D

For some reason it really ticked me off when Kim left, it made me realize that every Power Ranger is replacable and like an action figure, just think there would be another new Batman every episode and I guess that made me said in some ways.

I think MMPR and Zeo were brillant, but I think lightspeed rescue, turbo, pr in space, pr lost galaxy, and time force were crap. It just a matter of opinion. I've seen the first two episodes of wild force, and I'm not impressed. I going to watch a few more wild force episodes before I past my complete judgement on the show. John Crichton, you don't have flame somebody because they don't agree with you.

My apologies... the weren't meant to be flames, just the squirming and grumbling of a rabid PR fanboy.

It's like how Card Captor Sakura fans get when you say you love Card Captors or how someone would say they enjoyed the heavily editted version of Vampire Hunter D to the original. They're entitled to their opinions, but the fans are going to grumble.

At least this one..... :(
