Who reads them and who's got one?

I have one... well, I used to. I would give you the URL but I deleted it. I stopped using it.

But it was very interesting. I would post the dreams I would have and thoughts and such. Many responded to it with negativity.

Errr.... what's a Blog? Narf.

I used to read Andrew Hicks' great online diary... he had a great sense of humor and a keen eye for satire. But when he got to college, he started coming off more and more as a big jerk. Ah well. Haven't read his stuff in two years or so... maybe I'll go back to it and see if he's calmed down.

I read Wil Wheaton's for awhile (on www.wilwheaton.net) because I had a major crush on him when I was younger and because the boy is funny! And can write! But I've sorta stopped reading it. I don't think I'd ever have one . . . diaries, to me, are intensely personal things.

"Blog" is basically short for weblog, and the "lingo" for an online journal. Blogger and livejournal seem to be popular providers.

Out of boredom, I read the livejournals of my friends, but the ones I really love are Lex's journal (http://leximillian.diaryland.com/) (Computer Animation student at Sheridan! And nice person to boot), and Mooncalf noises (http://mooncalf.rydia.net/blogness/blogger.html), just because she's so damn cool.

Stories.com (http://www.stories.com) count? They have journals there. That, other than a school assignment, is the only thing I've written there so far.

The day I finish one of my stories is the day the world will end. :D

I tend to hit the political blogs: Instapundit (http://instapundit.blogspot.com/) for it's vast volume and copious links, and andrewsullivan.com (http://www.andrewsullivan.com/) for. . . well, cuz Andrew Sullivan is a god.

And who around here has time to maintain a weblog? We've got posts to make! :p

I'm aware how old this thread is, but I'm on the search for a quality *FREE* Online journal. (stupid LJ)

So I want to kick start this thread and rephase the question so it meets my needs.

Who has an online Journal and what service do you use ?

I'm starting to toy around with one. Since moving my Batman site to Toon Zone I'm thinking of turning my old site into a kind of blog.

You wouldn't by chance have your code ? (I've been looking for a LJ Code for months) Or know who you gave it to..

I went on ahead and got an Easy Journal. It's pretty cool but all my friends all have LJ's and I just feels o left out. With them having given out there codes and all.

I have enough of a hard time writing in an actual journal let alone a cyber one! Yet I do have a cyber one, lol. Actually it'd a great Schlogg Blogg one a friend of mine started. I read his deadjournal from time to time because it's very amusing, and myself and some other friends write in the group Schlogg Blogg....which reminds me, I haven't checked that thing in a few days.....augh.
