ON “AMERICAN DAD”
SUNDAY, APRIL 1, ON FOX
Stan sets Bullock up with a friend of Francine’s but, dreading to hear Francine tell him “I told you so,” Stan goes to great lengths to make sure the date goes well by getting everyone drunk. Unfortunately, Bullock accidentally kills the woman and Stan covers it up and then frames Francine so that she’ll stop asking questions in the "Four Little Words” episode of AMERICAN DAD Sunday, April 1

Yup. American Dad and King of the Hill have new episodes tonight. As for Family Guy and Simpsons I'm fairly sure FOX is saving those to have double premieres in May in order to over promote they're 100th and 400th (respecitvley) episodes. Or something like that.

LOL @ the Striesand nose being Toucan Sam. XD

"Look, it's Kevin Bacon!"
"Winner of 3 Saturn Awards!"
"What's a Saturn Award?"
"You're missing the point!"
"You're right, I am! It's Kevin Bacon!"

Roger's Footloose parody ftw. Hilarious when it stopped when the chinese food guy put the menu on the doorknob and he and Roger are just looking at each other, then the music starts again.

Wow, that was a dark episode. (How appropriate that it was preceded by Stewie killing Olivia and her boyfriend.) But I think I liked it. When this show gets really "out there" it can really work sometimes. You could never do a story like this on The Simpsons and probably not even on Family Guy (not without making it bad, I mean).

Lots of good dark humor and good regular humor in this. My favorite overall moment was probably when Stan went "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

This was absolutely disgusting. I realize Family Guy and American Dad have both have had dark moments before. But, focusing the entire episode on Stan's boss killing his date? That's sick. Why would anyone find killing women funny? I've laughed at some pretty sick things before, but this is where I draw the line.

And what the hell was with the ending? Francine doesn't call the police? Stan's boss killed her friend and she doesn't even give a damn? No wonder critics hate this show.

I don't know, but it's not like the whole episode was just women being killed. A woman being killed was the problem that led to the plot which led to the jokes. It was just an unfortunate accident anyway.

Would it have been funnier if it was the other way around, and the female killed her male date? Most signs would point to yes. Double standard, I believe.

I don't really think so. A whole episode focused on the murder of a male date being killed wouldn't be any funnier. A date of either sex being killed may have been funny as a quick cutaway joke or something, but focusing the whole episode on it makes it seem to real and disturbing.

It might also have been funnier if the characters in this show were somewhat less despicable. I mean, I might not have hated this episode so much if at the end of the episode Francine went to the police and had Stan's boss arrested. But, Francine is more concerned about being mad at her husband than the fact that her friend was murdered.

Unfortunate accident? Just because you think someone's a terrorist doesn't mean you can just snap someone's neck without a trial. And he can't claim self defense because no reasonable person would believe his life was in danger, especially considering his CIA training. If it was really just an unfortunate accident he would have turned himself in. He clearly belongs in jail.

Well, at this point I have to say "it's just a cartoon" (as much as I hate to). Obviously in real life things would be completely different. I just think you're making it sound so much worse. It's not like we're laughing at a guy stabbing his girlfriend to death. What Stewie did in "Chick Cancer" was about 10 times more reprehensible.

The reason I can laugh at something like this is precisely because it's NOT real. That's part of the joke. They're taking the age-old sitcom plot of the husband wanting to cover up a mistake from the wife, and then exaggerating it to the extreme. And they used a completely expendable character to do it. This stuff would not be funny at all on The Simpsons, because there are no completely expendable characters.

It is really dark humor though, I won't deny that.

When he went back to his "house" and found Olivia with another guy, he burned down the house, presumably killing them both. It's the one they re-ran tonight.

.....guh, and those numbers will be completely incorrect due to the fact that they've got several they were supposed to air between then and now THAT THEY'RE NOT AIRING. What do they have against airing new episodes?

I really hate Fox sometimes. Saying that has gotten so old it's become a cliche, but I still do.

I think this is one of the best episodes of the series. Roger's B-plot wasn't very good but I loved the main plot.

Roger passing himself off as Kevin Bacon = gold.

The main plot was a little disturbing, but seeing Stan trying hard to cover it up was funny enough for me. Francine trying to bring good to India was out of nowhere, but still.

The main plot was a little too disturbing for me to laugh at it too much, but I thought the episode was still pretty enjoyable. I loved Roger as Kevin Bacon and how 20 minutes later they arrested him across the country.

Anyone else notice Bullock's fish tank?:anime:

What was up with his fish tank? I did find it weird that Stan and Francine brought Klaus up to their bedroom, but that was just a set up for Stan to prevent Francine from saying "I told you so."

I forgot to mention one of my favorite jokes: when they were dropping all those clues about how many months had passed and then Roger calculated the final result.

The month joke really WAS gold ^^

I didn't notice anything about the fish tank. Was it a reference to Jean-Luc Picard's own fish tank? :p

Anybody noticed the newspaper headline gag? It said "Child obesity up, pedophilia down" I tought it was hilariously wrong and in retrospect it really set the tone for the rest of the episode.

Oh and it wasn't chinese food, it was thai food.

Yes it was; same shape and size but seemed to be a wood finish instead of a light colored plastic finish.

Is it wrong for me to think Stan's capable of shooting Hayley based on what he did to his OWN DAMN WIFE? I've always though he might have had it in him somewhat, but after this... I'm kinda sure.

If she does, she'll go back to him. Cartoon husbands and wives always have spats, but she ends up going back to the big lug. That's just how it works.
