According to bitterfilms.com, Don Hertzfeldt's Oscar nominated animated film, REJECTED, has had a long-delayed premire on Cartoon Network due to their standards and practices.
The cartoon was meant to premire on CN's Adult Swim, but they would bleep out "Sweet Jesus!" on the soundtrack. Don refused to let CN show the cartoon with the censorship, so they won't air it.
In the mean time, you can buy a DVD (no VHS, sorry) of this cartoon off bitterfilms.com for 16 bucks plus goodies and extras.

Maybe you should post this on the AS board.

Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame.
First you refuse to believe in religion(see Big O), now you're protecting it, CN?
Sweet Jesus indeed.
Besides the fact that "Sweet Jesus" is no more sacriligious than saying "ass" or "crap".
Sheesh.

Wait a second.
We don't really know if their "sitting on it" is permanent.
If they can allow "Jesus!" and "God!" to be taken in vain in Sealab, Home Movies, and Cowboy Bebop, they'll allow it in Rejected.
I'm predicting that it will air on April 7th at 11. But it may be later in April.
We only know what shorts/pilots are airing in March so it's still up in the air. And we won't know the April schedule until, well, March.

Given that it was nominated for the Academy Award, I figured they were waiting for March, in order to run it around the timing of this year's Awards. I know it didn't win the Oscar last year, but You think they'd run it after contracting to do so. Maybe Herzfeldt should just wait until the contract lapses and try and option it to Sundance.
