The main point is: What part has Batman played in your life?
OK, this is just a little something I've been wanting to say but all of my friends look at me funny when I talk about it.
For me, it was when I was 5 yrs old and the Adam West/Burt Ward Batman was still on TV. I would run home from kindergarten each day just in time to tie on the old cape/bath towel and sit in front of the television and watch my favorite hero battle some of the strangest villians ever. Definately one of my favorite childhood memories. Now, fast forward 30 years: I'm a professional adult working in a major city when I hear about the new Batman animated series. Time reversed. Now I was an adult, racing home after work each afternoon just in time to pop a beer (only on 'special' days would I wear the cape!) and watch, again, my favorite hero battle with his most fearsome enemies. Thus, the circle was complete.
OK, I know this must sound pretty pathetic, but to me, it was like going back in time to an age when I truly worried whether or not Robin would be eaten by a giant clam or how Batman would escape the Joker's clutches.
So that's it. I'm a bat-freak and I know it.
Well, am I the only one out there or does anyone else feel like a child again when they watch the Bat take down the villains?
