You know I wouldn't mind a JBL/Austin feud culiminating in a "match". I think those 2 would have terrific chemistry together and could make Smackdown more enjoyable.
I liked Batista's intenstiy tonight. Hopefully that leads to a heel turn that batista so desperately needs.
Overall, a decent Smackdown.

Batista and Taker....not much of talkers are they

Punk was the only one of the top three MitB choices to win his match. This could affect my predictions.
I should have known JBL would get interrupted since the show had 18 minutes left and Undertaker and debate don't mix.
Batista showed some jerk qualities tonight. Even if he does turn, he's still not much of a talker.

Best matches on the show were Kennedy-Finlay, J. Hardy-Orton, and Punk-Booker. Women's match was not that bad, but it wasn't too long, either. Good to see Michelle McCool back, but she & Melina were barely in the match. Ashley went over, but I still believe she'll win on Sunday. She has to. I'm sick of Melina's poser gimmick, and I'm sick of her as champion.
J-Me-L's self promotion cost him dearly, didn't it?:D :D :D :D
Batista didn't say much, but he got his point across. Too bad it'll cost him the title. I see three title changes on Sunday, all of them connected with Smackdown.
MVP over another rent-a-jobber passed off as a champion from a foreign country. Give me a break! They booked this guy backwards because of his poser gimmick. He & Skanklina deserve each other.
And why wasn't Benoit booked this week?
I see mass on-air firings after Chairman Wackjob gets his head shaved. He's going completely cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs on Sunday.

Great show all around. Though no Londrick and no Cruisers make me sad.

Not just any jobber; former TNA enhancement talent and Kevin Nash Open Invitational X Division Gauntlet Battle Royal participant D-Ray 3000!

I had to watch the show after it ended because I went to our school’s play and then that knocked my posting back. Then out of (let’s say respect) for April Fool’s Day, I decided it best to just delay my comments. All thoughts are pre-WrestleMania…
If you ask me, they should have just taken Edge off the active roster to recover from his injury. He could have backed up Orton or something. He’s been getting out of his matches for the past month and it just doesn’t work for me anymore. His ladder match spot could have gone to any number of guys on the roster.
Matt was lucky for the Kane pyro and then the Big Red Machine showing up on the TitanTron. Khali already had the elder Hardy limping, it would have been downhill from there.
So apparently Teddy and Kristal won’t lead to Vickie bad acting her way through the GM job? I guess that’s good, but I still can’t get behind this. I am feeling slightly better about it though.
A part of me felt like Hornswoggle hopped over the shark with the mini stepladder, but it was pretty funny all the same. Kennedy can’t be happy about losing that match!
Just checking in, Maryse is still hot.
Other than mocking the process, I don’t understand how MVP feels he is building himself up to face the best technical wrestler in the world today. Porter would have been better served taking on a William Regal or a Finlay. His ‘countdown’ promo was great though.
Jeff vs. Orton was a good follow-up to RAW from a couple of weeks ago, although it was same song, different verse with Edge on the scene.
It’s more been going on in the RAW thread, but eight matches does seem like an awfully small WrestleMania card. Especially with the women and Great Khali on the card. I would have liked to have seen a WWE Tag Title or a Cruiserweight Title match. There are only the four championships on the line!
The 10-Diva tag wasn’t a bad way to further build the lumberjill match. They cram all the Divas on the biggest event of the year, but there is no room for any tag teams?
Maybe not quite as much as Booker, but I was still a little surprised to see CM Punk get the win. The guys pulled it out though. The king never saw it coming.
It seemed wrong to me that the WrestleMania press conference wasn’t in Detriot. I thought the point behind any of those was to bring out the local media in addition to any national/international attention. I suppose the Donald needed to have it closer to him than that.
I was disappointed that Austin came out and stunned JBL (the wrestling god isn’t getting much respect lately when he’s actually in the ring), but I suppose there wasn’t really enough time for Batista and Taker to stare at each other if they had JBL there to egg them on. Not sure what the point of having a face-to-face interview with two guys who don’t speak all that often, but I don’t write SmackDown!
