Would that be so bad? As long as we have something to talk about (not 'peas peas peas peas,' sorry, buddy.), I don't think anyone will mind. A TNP is almost as much of a fixture as a toilet. Besides, not to criticize or belittle, but the avatar threads are somewhat 'undercover' TNPs.

I don't know, that's just my thinking on the subject.

Well a TNP is a thread without a subject (as far as I know). The avatar thread at least has a central topic it stays around. But this thread just has nothing really going on in it, besides randomness... Unless we've just turned it into a mini-debate on what constitutes a TNP.

Boy, this takes me back.

So, why don't we let threads like this on?

Because in less than 24 hours, while the mods were off making the JL Board safe for democracy, this random thread pops up and generates more than 40 posts.

And that's nothing. At the end of TNP we were getting 100 or more posts a day.

These boards are already a handful to keep up with.
