Beginning with comics released to direct-market comics shop on Feb.6, the Canadian prices on Marvel titles are increasing.
Comics that were once $2.25 US/$3.50 CAN will now boast cover prices of $2.25 US/$3.65 CAN. The $2.99 US/$4.50 CAN titles will now ring in at $4.75 CAN. Also, $2.50US comics will now cost $4.00 CAN.
New issues of late titles shipping next week -- like Amazing Spider-Man, Uncanny X-Men and X-Force -- do not carry the new pricing.
The price hike will apparently also be reflected in Marvel's trade-paperback program. In a story on Comics Newsarama, Marvel noted that a correction sticker for the recently released Captain Britain trade paperback will carry a price for the book of $19.95 US/$31.95 CAN. However, the price printed on the actual trade is $29.95.
DC Comics Canadian price for a $2.25 title is $3.75. Their $2.95 comics also ring in at $4.95.
