Does anyone else watch this show? I come to the conclusion since this first aired for Nick. The same reason why Emma Roberts has her own show also reflects this. Nepotism pure and simple. Jamie is releated to the now balded diva that I like to call, Cueball, (Britney), while Emma is releated to Julia Roberts. Regardless, they wouldn't have gotten to be stars without their family connections. Argue with me if you must but face facts. Neither have acting abilities and this is one of Nick's alternate attempts of trying to gain money other than pastering images of a Sponge and calling it a product.

Even though it airs on Nick, it's live action so it goes to the Entertainment Board.

How often has one of Nick's live action shows had actors with "acting ability"...and anything prior to 1997 doesn't count!
Yeah, they're related to well known names in Hollywood, but so? Would these shows be any better, or would you like it anymore if Zoey 101 was played by some other 13 to 15 year old blonde - would it make that much of a difference?

Well if they had better acting abilites than the ones shown, yeah, it would make a huge difference. How many stars have you seen that have been good without having to have their family members buy their spots into a T.V. show? I could name a few that were post 1997.

For the record, I think Jamie Lynn Spears and Emma Roberts are more talented than their bigger-name relatives.
(I didn't even know Roberts even had her own show.)

Um, most dealings in the business world in general are all about who you know and connections. I don't see how this is any different than some guy who knows a guy that works in a company and gets him a job there.
I don't have a problem with either of them, though. And actually, Zoey 101 and Unfabulous get better ratings than Spongebob (in the 9 - 14 and 12 - 17 demographic, anyway)

Eh, I'd say Nick has always been like that. Kenan and Kel springboarded into their own show from being on All That just like Drake and Josh did from the Amanda Show.

What bothers me most about this show is not the obvious nepotism, but the fact that this and many of the other Teen Nick shows are designed to be similar to Disney Channel Original Series, instead of designed to resemble older Nick shows.

What I want to know is, how many actual teenagers would be caught watching the Teen Nick block? Shouldn't it be renamed the Pre-Teen Nick block?

I'd like to know how this show's the only current TeenNick show to get a season set release, while the Amanda Show, All That (The first seasons with Kenan & Kel), Drake & Josh and Ned's DeClassified School Survival Guide are being ignored.

Disney didn't invent sitcoms. Nick has been doing that since the 80s as well.

According to this (http://www.medialifemagazine.com/cgi-bin/artman/exec/view.cgi?archive=170&num=2639), quite a few. It regularly makes it into the top 12-17 ratings.

Though that can actually be argued, here's something that can't: Jamie Lynn and Emma are SANER then their bigger-named relatives. (Espically Jamie's whose... well I think we all know the deal with her by now:D ).
Eh, I'd say Nick has always been like that. Kenan and Kel springboarded into their own show from being on All That just like Drake and Josh did from the Amanda Show.
And Jamie Lyne Springboarded off the new All That. I have to say though that all the spinoffs are actually better then the shows they came from (though I liked the original all that, I loved Kenean and Kel. Drake and Josh is a lot funnier then The Amanda show, and even Zoey has more interesting moments then the new All That).

Quite a lot actually. As Galentone showed with the latest Nelsen reports (they need to do more nielsens reports like those actually. Latley they've just been doing the really kiddy range which dosen't really make much sense since it's only the 2-6 and 6-11s and nothing above that).

At the very least The Amanda Show and Drake and Josh were given one disc releases of the first part of the seasons. I guess they didn't do well enough though to warrant a full season release. And note that Nickelodeon will go for new show releases over old show releases any day which is why you don't see Kenan and Kel and Old All that having releases yet.
I haven't watched too much of Zoey but my friend has and says it's a pretty decent show, even if Jamie Lynn is the "worst" actor on it. Oh well at least it's not the worst show currently on Nick (which would still have to be Mr. Meaty which actually came back with new episodes I believe. You may start shuddering now).

I wouldn't say she's a bad actor so much as the character is probably the least interesting one on the show. Her friends all have much better characterizations and quirky personalities compared to Zoey that she just comes off as a typical "everyday girl" compared to, say, Lola or Quinn.
