This advance review came from www.samruby.com - my 2nd favorite Spidey site:
Amazing Spider-Man V2 #38 (#479)
"Don't tell me it's a Halloween costume, Peter. Just...Don't" (Aunt May)...OK, lets get to it, this is THE talk everyone has been waiting for, and it sure is a wonderful read. No villains, no action, nobody dying, no destruction. Just a very well-written and believable story based on an all night talk between Peter and his Aunt May. I won't give away much here, but there is MUCH talked about between these two and their secrets they BOTH had concerning the night Uncle Ben died. Now they have shared their secrets and all is well...Or is it?
I can't wait...

...I....can't....wait....for....this....issue. I even went to www.milehighcomics.com to get a sneek peek, something I usually never do - so I can keep it all a surprise. Below is the beautiful Kaare Andrews cover and the first three pages of what will be an unforgettable issue...(loads sorta slow)

Totally. When I got there last time to get the Mangaverse, all they had left was a few copies the Avengers. :(
But I still can't wait! :p

I wonder what May's secret could possibly be?

Ok, why the (478) number? Is that the number of the comic book IF Marvel hadn't cancelled the old title? I don't care for the duo numbering system myself. It's rather stupid, IMO. If they feel it should be issue 478, then make it 478, but putting two issue numbers on one issue is just a bad idea.
I agree 2 numbers is a stupid idea.

The secondnumbe ris there for the diehard Spidey fans. I don't mind it at all. It's a good idea to please fans who didn't like it when Marvel rebooted the series, and those (like myself) who really didn't care.

I ordered mine yesterday. I'm assuming that it's understood by my comic guy that I get this book every time it comes out, just not officially on my pull list, but I should be getting it.
Hopefully this will live up to all the hype it's been getting. It's been a long time since this issue was announced (3 months late... )

Yeah...three whole months! Didja notice how Marvel isn't gona bother to catch up and skip two months in cover dates? Issue #40 is now the March comic when it should be issue #42. With this issue, they are now on schedule...well...sorta...
