Howdy,

I'm braving the big, bad, red backgrounds to ask here, since I didn't get much of a bite on the Comics board.

Anybody here remember the animated Cadillacs and Dinosaurs show that ran on CBS in the early 90's? Someone's handle on another board reminded me of the comic, and a quick search on Google reminded me of the show.

For those who don't know, C&D was a comic by Mark Schultz. A global environmental cataclysm (he placed it in 1987, 'round when he was writing them) drove humans underground for hundreds of years. When they emerged, they found a world almost erased of human influence, and prehistoric creatures roaming the Earth again. The comic (and the show) focused on two characters: "Cadillac" Jack Tenrec, a guy who drove 1950's-era Cadillacs while protecting the balance of the planet, and Hannah Dundee, a confident, self-assured, and strong-willed female ambassador from the Wassoon who looks GREAT in a furry bikini. Proof that artists who write comics draw what they want to draw and come up with the story later, except in this case the stories were actually good.

The comic got a 13-episode run on CBS in animated form, and actually worked pretty well to simplify the complex storylines without dumbing it down. Anybody out there remember the show and want to see it (or, even better, new episodes) on Adult Swim? Maybe Mark Schultz could finally finish off some of the story threads he left us hanging with (C&D hasn't been published since the mid 90's).

Although this isn't really an Adult Swim topic (IMO), I remember Cadillacs & Dinosaurs. There was even a video game, I believe, for either Genesis or 32X.

I would have to say that Cadillacs and Dinosaurs would fit better in Toonami than Adult Swim. At the very least, it would probably fit in the 4:30 slot on weekdays, where Zoids is currently(Zoids moves to 5:00 in March).
