"The Brave and the Bold" - Dini was to write?

I just read the little snippet in the news section about how Dini pulled out of writing "The Brave and the Bold" episode due to an arm injury. Isn't there some way to get around that?

Writers are funny creatures. I know from my own experience as an essay-writer (academic papers and the like) that I have to work within a certain physical set up, and if I can't then I might as well just turn out the light and go to bed.

Don't know if that's the way it is with Dini, but I have no problem guessing that his injury might have totally ruined his particular groove.

Also keep in mind that Dini is involved in quite a large number of projects, not just JL. His injury might have slowed him down to the point that he had to cut back. And, if a writer is forced to choose between working on his own creations or freelancing work based on established characters... most would choose the creative freedom to do their own thing.

It's been rumored that he plans to write a script for the second season, although that can't be confirmed. He currently (and for the foreseeable future) has alot on his plate, including writing a Zatanna comic for DC/Vertigo, more Jingle Belle comics, more material for Oni Press, as well as working on an animated Jingle Belle venture.

I'd love to see Dini join "Justice League," however, the reported flare-up between the two over the "ROTJ" cuts might prevent them from getting back together. However, that was only speculation. I remember being speculating on one of the forums here that the "injury" Dini suffered was a personal injury. All speculation.

I'd like to see the two men work together again. Wasn't Dini the one set to write the new "Batman" direct-to-videos though?
