I've been meaning to post this for a while.
In the episode "Off-Balance", the villain's name is Vertigo. Like the classic Alfred Hitchcock movie of the same name, the finale takes place in a bell tower, and the villain falls to their presumed death from the top of it. Seems like an homage to the master of suspense to me. Thoughts?

Hey BnL! Nice to see you again. Yea, actaully it does kinda seem like a tribute in a small way. Nice point. I never really thought of that before.

I don't like "Off Balance" much, so it's been a long time since I've watched it. I do remember thinking it was chock-ful of Hitch refs. The only one (besides those you mention) I remember was the opening sequence on the Statue of Liberty-like monument. That setting and fight are a ref to the climax of "Saboteur."
I guess I should go watch it and report back others I notice.

I really liked OFF BALLANCE. It was a really cool episode, and an excellent way to introduce Ra's Al Ghul. But aside from that ep, I always thought Batman Beyond tipped the scale as far as Hitchcock references. Like Spellbinder.
