some wishful thinking

After that bit with Hades, I've been obsessed with wanting to see part of the JL (preferably just Wonder Woman, Flash, and Batman) fight Maxie Zeus. The short cast list and lack of an almighty worldwide threat would allow for more character development in the episode, and then there's the novelty of Wonder Woman's reaction to Maxie and vice versa. Besides, he was only appeared in one episode. Even Clock King, Professor Milo, Firefly, and Roxy Rockett managed to get two! Anyone feel like adding on to why it would/wouldn't be a good idea?

I'm not really familiar with Maxie Zeus as a character. I've only seen him in that one episode and in the recent "Gods of Gotham" arc in the Wonder Woman comic.

So, I guess...I'd need to know more about him (what exactly he does, other than be rich and think he's Zeus)...

While I agree that Maxie Zeus is quite the fascinating , psychologically twisted character, I have to say I don't know too much about the animated version. (rim shot) :D

Seriously, I'd love to see him again. The problem is that, as mentally interesting as he is, he's not too much of a physical threat. He's good at keeping Batman busy, and maybe a few of the other JLers would be challenged by him on their own. However, for better or worse, Justice Leacue is a team show, and super hero teams need more challenging threats. So, I don't think that a Maxie Zeus appearance would work, or do him justice if he appeared as part of a team.

Now, if the Batman series were revived...

That's why I brought up that only those 3 should be in the episode, which is enough to be a team. Surely any lightning gun-thingie that he uses would be as strong or possibly stronger than the Weather Wizard's wand, and he was able to fend off Superman and the Flash.
